Alliance Air flight AI-836 made an emergency landing in Delhi, India, on April 9th.
The plane flying from Pathankot, India, was descending toward Delhi when the crew declared an emergency due to an engine issue.
The plane landed safely. All forty-two passengers aboard remained unharmed.
Caspian Airlines flight RV-6920 overran the end of the runway at Mashhad International Airport, Iran, on October 24th.
The McDonnell Douglas MD-83 plane, coming from Asaluyeh, Iran, blew both right hand main tires and stopped at the end of the runway.
All one hundred and twelve people aboard remained uninjured.
S7 Airlines flight S7-173 had to reject takeoff from Moscow Domodedovo Airport, Russia, on March 27th.
The Boeing 737-800 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Novosibirsk, Russia, when the crew rejected takeoff due to smoke in the cabin.
The passengers disembarked via emergency slides. No injuries were reported.

Why: After his engine exploded in mid-air, the pilot–with 8,000 flight hours in this type plane–aimed to land at Griffiss International Airport. While losing altitude, he pulled the plane (with its smoking engine) up, missing several homes and then dropping to land in an open field beside the Lake Delta Volunteer Fire Department, not far from the airport.
A contractor, Wiggins Airways, out of Manchester, New Hampshire operated the plane.
What: Boeing 737 belonging to low cost carrier Norwegian
Where: in Trondheim in western Norway
When: September 19
Who: 107 people on board
Why: Because an indicator in the cockpit mistakenly indicated a problem with the front landing gear. the plane made an emergency landing.
No one was injured.
