    Where: Kansas Interstate Highway 135.
    When: Saturday afternoon
    Who: pilot Joseph Prelogar, of Kansas City, Kan. and his wife
    Why: The engine quit. The pilot was trying to switch to the fuel tank with the remaining fuel but engine would not restart. After landing, the plane’s nose gear collapsed and the front end was damaged. There were no injuries.

    What: Air Canada Jazz de Havilland Dash 8-300 en route from Sudbury to Toronto
    Where: Toronto
    When: Dec 16th 2009
    Who: 53 on board
    Why: On final approach, the plane developed hydraulics issues. Low hydraulic pressure was indicated in the no.2 hydraulic system. An emergency was declared, and the plane landed safely under emergency conditions.

    What: Delta Airlines Boeing 757-200 en route from Atlanta,GA to Brasilia
    Where: Caracas
    When: Jun 19th 2011
    Who: 119 aboard
    Why: En route near Caracas, the plane developed an issue with the right hand engine.
    The crew diverted to Caracas where they made a safe landing.

    A replacement jet was provided within 20 hours.

    Sunexpress Flight makes Safe Landing in Germany after Flaps Problem

    Sun expressSunexpress flight EW-1885 made a safe emergency landing at Dusseldorf Airport, Dusseldorf, Germany, on June 4th.

    The Boeing 737-800, flying from Rome, Italy, was on approach to Dusseldorf’s runway when the crew encountered flaps problem, prompting the plane to land at a higher than normal speed.

    The plane landed successfully.

    All people onboard remained unharmed.

    Red Wings Airlines Plane Returns to Russia due to Engine Shut Down

    Red Wings AirlinesRed Wings Airlines flight WZ-9830 had to return and make an emergency landing at Roshchino International Airport, Tyumen Oblast, Russia, on July 18th.

    The Tupolev TU-204 was en-route to Sochi, Russia when the crew had to shut one of its engines down mid-air.

    The plane landed safely.

    All 213 passengers and 8 crew members remained unhurt.

    What: American Airlines Boeing 767-300 en route from New York to Los Angeles
    Where: Chicago on Mar 16th 2010
    When: Mar 16th 2010
    Why: While en route, the right hydraulics system failed. The flight diverted to Chicago and made a safe landing. Passengers were rescheduled.
