    What: An Air India Airbus A330-200 flight en route from Tokyo Narita to Delhi
    Where: Delhi
    When: Sep 10th 2009 4:55
    Who: 122 people on board 111 passengers and 11 crew
    Why: The pilot made a precautionary landing in Delhi when ten minutes prior to scheduled landing he had faulty readings of the plane’s hydraulics. The plane landed safely 25 minutes later, and was taxied safely. No injuries were reported.

    No follow-up yet on this hydraulics issue. Was it the instrumentation? Was there a leak caused by lack of maintenance or too many flight hours squeezed in between maintenance checks? I’m sure Air India passengers would like to know.

    TWO Pia Bomb Hoaxes

    What: PIA Pakistan International Airlines Airbus A310-300 en route from Lahore Pakistan to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
    Where: Kuala Lumpur
    When: Sep 7th 2011
    Who: 176 passengers
    Why: While en route, Pakistan International Airlines received an email there was a bomb aboard the flight.

    The plane landed safely in Kuala Lumpur. No bomb was found.

    What: PIA Pakistan International Airlines Boeing 777-300 en route from Lahore (Pakistan) to Manchester,EN
    Where: Istanbul
    When: Sep 7th 2011
    Who: 378 passengers
    Why: While over the black sea, the airline received an email claiming bombs were planed on the flight. The pilots diverted to Istanbul, where the flight was inspected and no bomb was found.

    After immediate evacuation, both planes underwent thorough examination.

    Amsterdam-Bound EasyJet Flight Suffers Lightning Strikes

    EasyJet flight U2-3005 suffered lightning strikes on the way to Amsterdam, Netherlands, on August 25th.

    The incident happened when the Airbus A319-100 plane flying from London Stansted Airport, England, was descending toward Amsterdam.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Pilot Killed After Small Plane Crashes in Colorado

    A small plane crashed near Parker, Colorado, on May 11th.

    Authorities said the plane went down shortly after departing from Centennial Airport.

    The pilot, who was the only one aboard, was killed in the crash.

    The plane’s engine crashed into a nearby occupied home. Fortunately, no one was injured.

    Bird-Hit Southwest Airlines Flight Makes Safe Landing in Omaha

    Southwest Airlines flight WN-1426 made a safe landing following bird strikes in Omaha, Nebraska, on February 27th.

    The Boeing 737-700 plane flying from Chicago Midway International Airport, Illinois, was on short final to Omaha when the crew reported bird strikes.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Small Plane Crashes at Chicago Rockford International Airport; 4 Injured

    A small plane crashed at Chicago Rockford International Airport, Illinois, on December 4th.

    The King Air C-90 plane was attempting to land at the airport when it went down.

    There were four people aboard at the time; all of them were injured. They were taken to hospitals.

    The incident is being investigated.
