    Japan: Emergency Field Landing when Engine Quits

    Four people aboard a privately owned Fuji Fa-200-160 made a crash landing in a field near Ozaki, Yachiuo city, Japan.

    The pilot made the emergency landing because the engine quit.

    There were no fatalities, and only the co-pilot, who suffered a facial injury sustained any injury.

    The plane had taken off from and was returning to Otone airfield, Ibaraki, JAPAN.

    The Fuji is a single engine piston plane built by Fuji Heavy Industries, Ltd. of Japan.

    Skippers Aviation Plane Returns to Perth due to Engine Issue

    A Skippers Aviation flight made an emergency landing in Perth, Australia, on May 26th.

    The plane took off for Leinster, Australia, but had to return shortly afterwards due to an engine issue.

    The plane landed back safely. There were 50 people aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

    Air Niugini Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Cabin Pressure Problems

    Air Niugini flight PX-2006 had to return and make an emergency landing in Brisbane, Australia, on April 10th.

    The Boeing 737-300 freighter plane took off for Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, but had to turn back due to issues with the cabin pressure.

    The plane landed back uneventfully. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    PSA Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing in South Carolina

    PSA AirlinesPSA Airlines flight AA-5360 made an emergency landing at Greenville-Spartanburgh Airport in South Carolina, on April 19th.

    The plane was flying from Washington, D.C. when the crew reported an issue with flaps extension.

    Swiss International Air Lines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Dusseldorf

    Swiss International Air Lines flight LX-1024 made an emergency landing in Dusseldorf, Germany, on July 11th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane flying from Zurich, Switzerland, was on final approach to Dusseldorf when the crew reported an issue with gear extension and went around.

    The plane subsequently landed safely and was towed to the apron.

    Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Lion Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing Due to Engine Failure

    Thai Lion AirA Lion Air flight had to make an emergency landing at Juanda International Airport in Sidoarjo, Indonesia, on August 12th.

    The plane was en-route to Ujung Pandang, South Sulawesi from Jakarta when an engine failure prompted the pilots to declare emergency.

    The plane landed uneventfully and all 210 passengers remained unharmed.

    The passengers were transferred to another aircraft.
