    Swiss International Air Lines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Amsterdam

    Swiss International Air Lines flight LX-734 made an emergency landing in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on September 7th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane flying from Zurich, Switzerland, was on approach to Amsterdam when the crew reported a possible nose gear steering issue.

    The plane performed a low approach and subsequently landed safely on second approach.

    Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    The plane was towed off the runway.

    US Airways Flight Diverts to Boston

    Who: 80 passengers
    Why: While en route, the plane developed problems with the wing flaps. The flight diverted to Boston where they made a safe landing at Logan International.

    Las Vegas-Bound Southwest Airlines Flight Hits Turbulence; 2 Injured

    southwest_airlines_logoSouthwest Airlines flight WN-1932 encountered turbulence while descending towards Las Vegas, Nevada, on October 31st.

    The Boeing 737-800 plane was flying from Seattle, Washington, when it ran into severe turbulence.

    The plane continued for a safe landing.

    Two crew members sustained minor injuries in the incident.

    Child Goes into Cardiac Arrest Midair; JetBlue Flight Lands in Emergency

    jetBlueJetBlue flight 1786 had to make an emergency landing at Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts at around 5:30 p.m. on November 6.

    The flight was on its way from Pittsburgh to Boston when the pilot informed the authorities that a 2-year-old child was in cardiac arrest.

    The aircraft landed safely and the child was immediately taken to Massachusetts General Hospital. The authorities said that he was unconscious at the time but did have a pulse.

    Massachusetts State Police Trooper John Morris, who was one of the first to reach at the scene, said, “There was a doctor on board the flight and he responded and he performed medical attention to the child that was very helpful with his survival.”

    Lufthansa Flight Rejects Take Off From Munich

    Lufthansa flight LH-730 had to reject take off from Munich, Germany, on January 6th.

    The plane was accelerating to take off for Hong Kong, China, when the crew reported an engine issue and rejected take off.

    The plane safely returned to the apron. Everyone aboard remained safe.
