VivaColombia flight FC-8170 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Medellin, Colombia, on November 28th.
The Airbus A320-200 plane flying from Bogota to San Andres Island, Colombia, was diverted due to a suspected fuel leak.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Jet Airways flight 9W 354 had to make an emergency landing at Mumbai airport in India, on March 3rd.
According to the airline, “Jet Airways flight 9W 354 on landing in Mumbai reported a technical fault with the main landing gear.” It is believed that the plane’s main landing gear collapsed upon landing, also causing damage to the right wing.
All 127 people aboard the plane remained uninjured.
EasyJet flight EZY1877 had to return and make an emergency landing at Manchester Airport in England, on February 17.
The plane took off from Manchester for Bilbao, Spain but had to turn back shortly afterwards due to smell of fumes in the cabin.
The plane made an uneventful emergency landing and no one aboard was harmed.
An airline spokesperson said, “The aircraft landed safely at Manchester and was met by the fire service in line with routine procedures…The safety and welfare of our passengers and crew is easyJet’s highest priority. The passengers disembarked the aircraft as normal and have been transferred to the terminal and are awaiting a replacement aircraft to Bilbao…We would like to apologise for any inconvenience experienced due to the delay.”

The plane was flying from Halifax to St. John’s airport when it conducted a missed approach, indicating a fault in its hydraulic and landing gear mechanism.
The crew then manually deployed the landing gear and made a successful emergency landing.

A Cessna 206 had to make an emergency landing on Highway 29 in Wellford, South Carolina, on March 26.
The plane, carrying members of a professional skydiving team ‘ Team Fastrax’, was heading to Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport, Greer, for refueling. However, its engine failed before it could make it to the airport.
The plane made a safe emergency landing and everyone aboard remained unhurt.

The plane was able to take off from the highway on March 27.
