TUIfly flight X3-4806 had to return for an emergency landing in Munich, Germany, on August 20th.
The Boeing 737-800 plane took off for Kos, Greece, but had to turn back after the crew reported a landing gear issue.
The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unhurt.
The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.
The United Airlines Flight 999 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Canada’s Halifax Stanfield International Airport on the night of August 5.
The Boeing 777 was on its way to Brussels from Newark, New Jersey, when fire broke out on board. The pilot then decided to divert to Halifax which was the nearest airport at the time.
Firefighters were put on alert at the airport when the plane touched the ground safely at around 10 p.m. There were 233 people aboard; all of them remained unhurt.
According to Peter Spurway, the spokesperson of Halifax Airport Authority, the fire broke in a contained area of the aircraft and was extinguished before the plane landed.
British Airways flight BA 676, on its way to Istanbul, Turkey, had to return and make an emergency landing at Heathrow Airport, London, shortly after it took off at about 11 a.m. on July 3.
The decision to make an emergency landing was made after the crew reported a ‘burning smell’ in the cockpit of the Boeing 767-300. A hundred eighty-five passengers were aboard.
Metropolitan Police Service and fire fighters were on alert when the plane landed back at the airport, just 35 minutes after it departed. No one was injured.
The airline confirmed that the plane experienced a minor technical problem which is being resolved and it will soon return to service.

Why: When smoke fill the cabin, the crew diverted the flight to St Louis. They made a safe landing with no reported injuries.
Passengers disembarked on the runway and were bussed to the gate.
Delta Airlines flight DL-1827 made an emergency landing in Orlando, Florida, on August 28th.
The plane flying from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Atlanta, Georgia, was diverted after the crew reported a flaps problem.
The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unhurt.

What: Jetblue Airbus A320-200 en route from New York to Burlington,VT

Why: On approach to Burlington, the plane encountered severe turbulence, which injured two flight attendants. The pilot continued, to make a safe landing in Burlington. Both attendants were hospitalized, one with bruises, and one with broken ribs.
