Porter Airlines flight 265 had to make an emergency landing at Halifax Stanfield International Airport in Nova Scotia, Canada, on December 11.
The plane was flying from Ottawa when the pilot reported a hydraulic issue and requested an emergency landing.
The plane landed uneventfully. There were 54 passengers and crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unhurt.

According to airline spokesperson Peter Fitzpatrick, “As soon as the crew became aware of the temperature issue, the captain grew rightfully concerned for the dog’s comfort and well-being… With the altitude it can become very uncomfortable, and possibly the situation could have been life-threatening if the flight had continued.”

The plane was able to continue its journey with a 90-minute delay.

AirAsia Flight Z2 763 had to make an emergency landing at Mactan-Cebu International Airport, Cebu, Philippines, on December 15.
It s believed that the pilots of the plane, flying from Manila, declared emergency due to a hydraulic problem in its landing gear.
According to Philippines Air Asia, “The plane had technical issue on its way to the ramp and had to be towed. Safety and engineering teams are currently checking the cause.”
There were 166 passengers aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.
