    Small Plane Crash in Indiana Leaves 3 Dead

    A small plane crashed in Clark County, Indiana, on November 30th.

    The plane took off from Clark Regional Airport, Indiana, and was heading to Chicago, Illinois, when it went down in a heavily wooded area.

    There were three people aboard at the time; all of them were killed in the crash. The deceased were identified as Sandra Holland Johnson, 54, Andrew Davis, 32, and Louisville City FC soccer team founder Wayne Estopinal, 63.

    This CNN news reportage indicates 91 injured rather than the 40 discussed earlier. No one mentions how the plane came mere meters from slipping into the bay.
    What: American Airlines Boeing 737-800 en route from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport to Miami to Kingston
    Where: Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston

    Who: 148 passengers and six crew; 40 injured; 4 passengers in serious condition
    Why: After a turbulent flight, while landing in heavy rain, the jet overshot the runway. According to passengers, the plane landed normally, but failed to come to a stop but bounced through the perimeter fence, and skidded down the runway ending ten feet away the sea along the Port Royal main road. While skidding, they heard a loud bang, and oxygen masks deployed. On impact, the plane went dark.

    The plane was reported to have lost an engine upon landing and that the landing gear collapsed; the plane skidded, crashed starboard engine detatched, and the fuselage broke. THe port wingtip snapped off; the fuselage rutured aft of the wing. Officers at the scene reported the plane ran off the end of the runway.

    The Injured have been taken to the Kingston Public Hospital.

    FORT WORTH, Texas, Dec. 22 /PRNewswire/ — On Tuesday, December 22, 2009, American Airlines Flight 331, a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, overran the runway on landing at Kingston, Jamaica’s Norman Manley International Airport. The flight originated out of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, operated into Miami International Airport, and then operated into Kingston’s Norman Manley International Airport.

    Preliminary reports indicate there are no serious injuries. The aircraft was carrying 148 passengers and a crew of six.

    American Airlines is in direct contact with officials from the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration and is cooperating fully with appropriate authorities. American Airlines will not speculate as to possible causes of the incident. At this point, no additional details can be confirmed.

    At approximately 10:25 pm American Airlines (AA 331) while in its final approach to landing overshot the runway resulting in an accident. 145 passengers and 6 crew members were on board. The injured passengers have been taken to hospitals in Kingston. No fatality has been reported.

    The Airport emergency response was activated with support from emergency units in the municipality. The aircraft and crash site have been secured and the areas have been cordoned off by the security forces. Preliminary investigation is ongoing. The Airport is currently closed and the respective NOTAMS issued.

    The number of persons being treated at hospitals is as follows:

    38 :Kingston Public Hospital
    35 :University of the West Indies
    12: Andrews Memorial Hospital
    5: Medical Associates

    As a result of the accident, three flights have been delayed.

    Access to and from Port Royal will be denied (except for emergency purposes) until 12 noon.

    Plane Crash in South Africa Claims Three Lives

    A kit plane that crashed when its wings fell off, impacted near a landing strip in KwaZulu Natal province near Campertown South Africa, and resulted in three fatalities. A resident near the impact zone saw the plane crash sans wings.

    According to media reports, the plane, which crashed on Saturday, March 15, 2014, burned completely. A private ambulance service spokesperson said that the plane could be a four or six seater and that it is burnt beyond recognition.

    The police have confirmed the death of three persons in the incident. Three Durban residents flew it from Wonderboom International Airport where Kim Gibbings of Kloof had taken possession of the plane. He was identified as one of the victims. Gibbings is survived by an ex wife in Canada, two daughters, and a second wife.

    The Ravin 500 broke up in the air and the wreckage rained down on Emoyeni sugar plantation, leaving a debris field of eight hundred meters.

    6 People Killed in Quebec Plane Crash

    planecrashboliviatwitter-676x434A De Havilland Beaver plane crashed in Les Bergeronnes area of Canada’s Quebec province, on August 23.

    Authorities said the plane apparently nose-dived shortly after it took off from a Tadoussac airstrip for a sightseeing tour.

    There were 6 people aboard the plane, including the pilot Romain Desrosiers, a British family of 4 and another passenger Emilie Delaitre, 28, of France. All of them were killed.

    The cause of crash is being investigated.

    3 Doctors Killed in Palos Hills Plane Crash

    Plane crashA small plane crashed in a field near 101st Street and 86th Court in Palos Hills, Illinois, at around 10:40 p.m. on October 12.

    The Lawrence, Kansas-bound 2000 twin-engine Beechcraft Baron Aircraft took off from Chicago Midway International Airport and went down shortly afterwards.

    Three people were killed in the accident. Stormont-Vail HealthCare, based in Topeka, Kansas, said that 2 of the victims were serving at its facility. They identified them as Tausif Rehman, 34, a neurosurgeon and Ali A. Kanchwala, 36, a pulmonologist. The third victim was Maria Javaid, 37, who was the wife of Kanchwala and an interventional cardiologist at Providence Medical Center, Kansas City.

    The NTSB is leading the investigation.

    Crop-Duster Plane Crashes in California; Pilot Safe

    A crop-duster plane crashed at the runway of Madera Municipal Airport, California, on the morning of May 7th.

    The plane had just taken-off when the wind pushed it to the side, resulting it the crash and fire.

    Pilot Stephen Streeter, who was the only person aboard, walked out safely.
