    IndiGo Flight Diverted due to Medical Emergency

    IndiGo AirlinesAn IndiGo flight made an emergency landing in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India, on November 8.

    The plane was heading from Varanasi to Mumbai when the pilot decided to divert due to a medical emergency. Authorities said the pilot informed ground officials about an elderly man who was experiencing chest pain.

    The plane landed safely. The patient was rushed to hospital.

    The flight resumed after a short delay.

    Emergency Landing at NSC Bose International airport

    After experiencing an engine problem on Dec 17, 2012, a chartered Kazakistan plane en route from Bangkok to Lucknow made an emergency landing at NSC Bose International airport.

    There were 23 aboard, 17 of whom passengers. No injuries were reported.

    The left engine stalled for unknown reason. The flight made a safe landing at 10:15 with emergency services on standby.

    Airbus Bird Strike Delays Air India Flight

    What: Air India Airbus A321-200 en route from Kozhikode to Dubai
    Where: Kozhikode
    When: Apr 30th 2012
    Who: 148 passengers and 6 crew
    Why: Taking off out of Kozhikode India, the Airbus ingested a bird in the right engine, and bending the blades. Pilots dumped fuel, before making a safe landing back in Kozhikode. A replacement jet was provided.

    A second Air India flight made an emergency landing in Kozhikode after suffering an oil leak.

    Air India Plane Encounters Turbulence; Three Injured

    Air India flight AI-462 encountered severe turbulence on the way to Delhi, India, on April 19th.

    The Boeing 787-800 was flying from Amritsar, India, when it hit turbulence that injured three passengers.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. The injured were taken to a hospital.

    GoAir Flight Diverts to Nagpur due to Medical Emergency

    A GoAir flight made an emergency landing at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur, India, on October 22nd.

    The plane heading from Ahmedabad to Kolkata, India, was diverted after a passenger suffered a medical emergency.

    The plane landed safely.

    Passenger Dipansha Jitendra Gangwani, 43, was examined by a team of doctors at the airport and was declared dead.

    Indigo Plane Returns to Mumbai due to Cargo Smoke Indication

    Indigo flight 6E-61 had to return and make an emergency landing at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai, India, on May 2nd.

    The Airbus A320-200 flying to Dubai, UAE, had to return due to cargo smoke indication.

    The plane landed safely.

    All 178 passengers and 6 crew members aboard remained safe.
