Why: On takeoff, the pilot crashed into a shed just beyond the end of the runway. The pilot survived. The plane appears to have developed problems on takeoff, did not get far off the ground, and its wing struck a shed across the road. Although the plane is a write-off, the pilot walked away.

Why: After the pilot reported to ATC of having problems with the aircraft just after takeoff, the flight crashed in a forest near the town of Parchim. The 58 year old Swiss pilot and one 61 year old Swiss female passenger were reported as fatalities. Emergency services arrived in time to free two others (also Swiss) from the aircraft.They were injured and ported by helicopter to a hospital.
The names have not been released.

Small Plane Crashed into Chautauqua County Woods; Pilot Injured
A small plane crashed into woods near Waite Road in Sheridan, Chautauqua County, New York, at 11:30 A.M. on July 16.
The single-engine Cessna 162 crashed while the pilot was trying to return to Chautauqua County/Dunkirk Airport, New York, after facing some mechanical issue.
The pilot, identified as Francis Emmerling, 66, was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries. It is believed that Emmerling was the only person aboard.
The FAA and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department are investigating.

Helicopter Crashed on a Mountain in North Queensland
A Bell Jet Ranger helicopter crashed on a big rock on Mount Cook, near Cooktown in north Queensland, Australia, on October 7.Apparently, the helicopter got caught in a strong gust of wind which caused it to flip shortly after it took off about 12:45 p.m.
There were 6 people aboard the helicopter at the time of accident. One of them was airlifted to Townsville Hospital, while another man, aged 60, was taken to Cooktown Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A 40-year-old passenger was also taken to Cooktown Hospital but was later discharged.
The other 3 people aboard remained uninjured.

Two Killed after Small Plane Crashes in Texas
A single-engine plane crashed immediately after take off from Elmdale Airpark in Abilene, Texas, on March 1st.
Authorities said the two-seater Vans RV-6 experimental aircraft went down near the end of the runway.
There were two people aboard at the time; Both of them were killed in the crash. They were identified as James Estol Hathcock, 63, and Aaron T. Taylor, 33, both of Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
The cause of crash is being investigated.

Morgan Freeman’s Jet Crash-Lands at Tunica Airport
Morgan Freeman’s private jet crash-landed at Tunica Airport in Mississippi, on December 5.
Authorities said the plane, carrying the 78-year-old actor, ended up in a dirt field after landing.
According to Morgan, “I was on my plane on the way to Texas to shoot a segment for The Story of God. Sometimes things don’t go as planned and a tire blew on take-off which caused other problems. But thanks to my excellent pilot Jimmy Hobson, we landed safely without a scratch. I cannot say the same about my plane. I appreciate the concern and prayers for our safety.”
The plane was flying from Clarksdale, Mississippi.
Qantas Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Australia
Qantas flight QF-566 had to return and make an emergency landing in Perth, Australia, on February 27th.The Boeing 737-800 plane took off for Sydney, Australia, but had to turn back due to airspeed disagreement.
The plane landed safely. All one hundred and seventy-four people aboard remained unharmed.
