    UPS Plane makes Emergency landing in Alaska after Oil Leakage

    UPSUPS flight 5X-63 made a safe emergency landing at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, Anchorage, Alaska, on May 16th.

    The Boeing 747-400, flying from Hong Kong, China, was flying above the Pacific Ocean when the crew notice a slow oil leakage from one of its engines. The crew had to shut the engine down before landing.

    The plane landed safely.

    No one was injured.

    B.C. Wildfire Plane Lands in Emergency at Kamloops Airport

    BC Air tankerA Convair 580, Wildfire plane made an emergency landing at Kamloops Airport in British Columbia, Canada, at around 8:30 a.m. on August 5.

    The pilot reported a mechanical issue in one of the two engines and turned the faulty engine off. He, then manage to land safely on one engine.

    The plane was carrying retardant which he dumped at a fire in Kamloops Fire Centre before landing.

    Navi Saini, a female fire information officer with B.C. Wildfire said, “We still have engineers working to figure out what had happened.”

    United Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport

    United airlinesUnited Airlines Flight 38 made an emergency landing at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, Ohio, on April 28th.

    The plane took off from Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey and was heading to Omaha, Nebraska, when it developed an engine problem, prompting the crew to declare an emergency.

    The plane landed safely. There were 114 passengers and 5 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unhurt.

    The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

    Brussels Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Smoke and Burning Odor

    Brussels Airlines flight SN-241 had to divert and make an emergency landing at EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg, France, on January 2nd.

    The Airbus A330-300 plane heading from Monrovia, Liberia, to Brussels, Belgium, was diverted after the crew noticed smoke and a burning odor aboard.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained safe.

    Wizz Air Jet Diverts to Sweden after Passenger Tries to Kick Down Cockpit Door

    WizzAirWizz Air flight W63215 made an emergency landing in Malmo, Sweden, on November 3.

    Authorities said the pilot declared an emergency after an unruly passenger kicked the cockpit door and tried to open two emergency exits. The passengers wrestled him to the ground while the plane, en-route from Bucharest, Romania to Torp, Norway, was diverted to Sweden.

    The plane landed safely. The 43-year-old man was taken into custody.

    The plane took off again and reached its destination with a delay of 1.5 hours.

    Jetstar Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Rockhampton Airport

    JetstarJetstar flight JQ888 had to make an emergency landing at Rockhampton airport in Queensland, Australia, on June 8.

    According to an airline spokesperson, the pilots declared emergency after the crew reported strong smell in the aircraft’s cabin. The flight was en-route from Brisbane to Mackay at the time.

    Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    The plane was taken for inspection.
