Passengers sustained significant but non-life-threatening burns.

Parachute Flight Comes to Quick Halt
On Jan 14, 2013, six people—pilot Marcelo Rodríguez, two instructors and three parachutists—were aboard a Cessna 205 during a parachute flight in Punta el Este, Uraguay.When the engine lost power, the pilot made a forced landing and flipped. No fatalities were reported. The injured include Uruguayans, two Argentine women and one other. The injured were treated on the scene by mobile emergency units and then transferred to medical centers in Maldonado and Punta del Este.

Guntersville Plane Crash
A plane crashed in Guntersville Alabama. The pilot was the only person aboard when the engine stalled, and he ditched in a lake near Lake Guntersville Marina and Guntersville Sailing Club.The pilot extricated himself from the plane and was rescued by fisherman. Alabama Marine Police and Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene and will be securing the site until the NTSB investigation.
Glider Crash Sends Two to hospitals
A Flugsportclub Aschaffenburg Scheibe SF 25C Rotax Falke which had taken off from Aschaffenburg was returning from a scenic flight when it crashed in a muddy field next to the Hessian-Bavarian border near Großostheim airfield.The pilot and passenger were taking advantage of pretty weather.
The two aboard the plane were trapped for an hour. Rescue was delayed by the mud in the field which made approaching with rescue equipment difficult.
A dozen rescue personnel, two paramedics, and forty firemen and policemen responded.
After they were extracted, they were flown to separate hospitals. The 63 year female passenger was flown to Aschaffenburg hospital. The 82 year old pilot was taken to Frankfurt University Trauma Center.
The Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (Bundesstelle für Flugunfalluntersuchungen) is investigating. No cause of the crash has yet been advanced.
Homebuilt Crashes in Utah
What: Blue and white homebuilt plane (described as a small homemade plane with a tube-like frame, cloth covering and a small fiberglass cockpit) en route from the Salt Lake County area.
Where: Crashed into side of the Oquirrh Mountains near West Canyon a few miles north of Cedar Fort, a small town west of Eagle Mountain and Saratoga Springs off state Route 73.
When: Around 11:00 a.m. 10-28-2008
Who: pilot and passenger, both fatalities.
Why: The crash was witnessed by several onlookers who said the engine died, and the plane began dropping in a spin. and the pilot couldn’t pull the plane’s nose up. (Some witnesses said the plane was doing aerobic stunts; others described a loss of control. The wreckage was on fire when officials arrived. Officers and investigators from Saratoga Springs, Cedar Fort and Eagle Mountain fire departments, Utah County Fire, Utah County Sheriff’s Office, and the state medical examiner were on scene Tuesday.Video Courtesy of KSL.com

Why: While en route, the flight lost altitude, and then lost communication. It hit the sea around midnight.A search party has been formed. Some wreckage has been found near Egg Island.
