    Air Canada Plane Diverts to North Carolina due to CIDS Issue

    Air Canada flight AC-1233 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Charlotte, North Carolina, on February 15.

    The Airbus A321-200 en-route from Myers, Florida, to Toronto, Canada, was mid air when the crew detected some issue with CIDS (Cabin Intercommunication Data System) followed by an odor, causing the plane to divert for a safe landing.

    The plane landed safely.

    All 181 people on board remained unharmed.

    LATAM Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Brasilia

    LATAM Airlines flight JJ-8081 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Brasilia, Brazil, on July 23rd.

    The Airbus A350-900 plane heading from John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, to Sao Paulo–Guarulhos International Airport, Brazil, was diverted due to issues with the fuel leak detection system.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    SAS OSLO-Newark Diverts to Bergen Down One Engine

    What: SAS Scandinavian Airlines Airbus A330-300 en route from Oslo to Newark,NJ
    Where: Faroe Islands
    When: Apr 22nd 2012
    Who: 264 passengers
    Why: While en route, the plane developed engine problems in one engine. Pilots shut it down, and diverted to Bergen Norway. Pilots made a safe landing in Bergen over an hour later, and passengers were delayed eight and a half hours.

    What: American Airlines Boeing 767-300 en route from New York to Los Angeles
    Where: Chicago on Mar 16th 2010
    When: Mar 16th 2010
    Why: While en route, the right hydraulics system failed. The flight diverted to Chicago and made a safe landing. Passengers were rescheduled.

    Cebu Pacific Plane Diverts to India due to Disruptive Passenger

    downloadCebu Pacific flight 5J-7945 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, India, on the morning of July 30.

    The Airbus 330-300 had to be diverted due to a disruptive woman passenger, identified as Jeane T., who first complained of sickness and then informed the crew about a bomb in the plane.

    The plane en-route from Dubai, UAE, was transporting 430 passengers and 12 crew members to Manila, Philippines, at the time.

    The plane landed uneventfully and everyone aboard remained safe.

    The plane was cleared to depart after security clearance while the woman was handed over to the Philippines Embassy in India.

    Swiss International Air Lines Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Hydraulic Failure

    Swiss International Air Lines flight LX-1422 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Belgrade, Serbia, on December 24th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane heading from Zurich, Switzerland, to Nis, Serbia, was diverted due to a hydraulic failure.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All one hundred and seventy-three people aboard remained unharmed.
