What: Cessna 172R Skyhawk Where: Tooele County-Wendover Airport – Kenv Utah When: June 1, 2011 Who: 4 fatalities Why: The pilot of the Cessna was making a fuel stop at Wendover airport when he ran into difficulty, termed “a tough crosswind landing.” He approached for touchdown, bounced and turned north to make a second pass, and crashed 400 feet north of the runway. The four men aboard died in the crash.
Wind is considered to be a factor in the crash.
The names of those aboard the flight are Lincoln Marshal Dastrup, 57, of Salt Lake City, Chad A. Wade, 38, of South Jordan, Justin Michael Yates, 37, of Lehi, and Harish Parashar, 53.

Charles Coffing of Covington, a 72-year-old man, was killed in a small plane crash in Fountain County, Indiana , near the Rob Roy covered bridge, north of Terre Haute.
The accident happened at 1:30 p.m. on May 9.
First-responders told that there was no sign of fire at the scene. Officials said that the plane was a home-built experimental aircraft approved by the FAA.
One of the eye-witnesses said that the plane “came down nose first into the ground.”
The National Transportation Safety Board and FAA are investigating the reasons of the crash.

What: 2006 Robinson R44II en route North Palm Beach County airport to Brasstown Valley Resort and Spa in Young Harris Where: north Georgia mountains When: Monday evening Who: pilot Adam Reeves, of Jupiter, Fla and unidentified passenger Why: The helicopter had been missing since Monday. It was found Friday afternoon by the Civil Air Patrol, having crashed in the N. Georgia mountains in northern Lumpkin County around 2:30 p.m. The search began after relatives of the passengers made inquiries at the airport about a helicopter that had never arrived.
The flight had been due in Blairsville at 7 p.m but had never arrived.
The helicopter refueled in Madison, Ga around 6:30 pm Monday. At some unknown time it left North Palm Beach County.
Reeves was a former U.S. Air Force medic who ran health care and realty companies in Palm Beach County.

Sunday a Cessna Citation business jet carrying two pilots and two passengers from Shoreham airport in England to an airfield at Foehren struck a post in foggy conditions, and crashed, in flames when firefighters arrived. The two pilots and two passengers—all German— died at the scene. The wing stuck in (struck?) a pylon to the north-east of the 1200 meter runway. The Rivenich landfill is near the airport.
The airfield is not equipped for instrument landings. Landings are not recommended with visibility less than 1,800 metros, but visibility was less than 100 meters.
A passerby witnessed the incident and called it in. Trier Emergency services responded.

What: PA46 Where: Milton Florida When: 01/12/2009 Who: 1 person Why: After the pilot reported an in flight emergency, the piper crashed into a swampy area 1 mile from Milton FL. The pilot parachuted out but has not yet been found

What: Air Charter Services Pvt. Ltd Pilatus PC-12/45 en route from Jagdish Memorial Hospital to Apollo Hospital. Where: Faridabad When: May 25, 2011 10:45 pm Who: 7 aboard, 3 on the ground, 10 fatalities Why: After the pilot reported flying into bad weather, the plane transporting a patient from a Patna hospital to Apollo Hospital (Delhi) and carrying two doctors, two attendants, the pilot and the co-pilot crashed onto the rooftop of two houses in Parvatiya Colony. The plane’s nose broke off and fell to the street below. It appears that local residents may have taken the propellor and other parts of the plane. It did not carry a cockpit voice recorder or a data recorder.
After the crash, the plane and scattered medical equipment remained on the roof. The 22-year-old patient, was Rahul Raj and the plane’s crew was Dr Rajesh, Dr Arshad, Captain Harpreet, co-pilot Manpreet Kataria, Ratnesh Kumar and male nurse Cyril. Rahul and Ratnesh were cousins, and both residents of Bettiah in West Champaran. Raj, who was in a coma and on a ventilator was being transported to treat jaundice and complications of hepatitis.
In the Sehrawats house, fifty five-year-old Vedvati, her daughter Sarita (19) and daughter-in-law Rani (20) died in their house in Gali, 3 Mukesh Kunj at 10.35 pm. Because of the heat, they were on the roof at the time of the crash.
Sobharam Sehrawats, his son Deepak, and nephew Yash were injured.
The other house that was damaged (but no fatalities) was owned by 37-year-old Chittaranjan Singh.
Both the 3 residents of the house(s) and the 7 aboard the plane were burned beyond recognition.
An Indian Airlines flight to Delhi which was due to leave at the same time stayed on the tarmac at Patna instead of flying into the strong winds.
The plane disappeared from radar at 10:45 pm. It was reported that at the time of crash, strong winds were affecting planes landing at IGI airport. The DCGA is not carrying out the investigation, but it will be carried out independently.
