WestJet flight WS-211 made a safe landing at Vancouver International Airport, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on December 3.
The Boeing 737-800 was en-route from Calgary, Alberta, when the crew noticed some problems with its flaps.
The plane landed safely.
All 121 passengers onboard remained unhurt.

What: Airtran Boeing 717-200 en route from Indianapolis to Baltimore
Where: Dayton
When: Aug 12th 2010
Who: 48 passengers and 5 crew
Why: When the left engine developed problems after leaving Indianapolis, the crew diverted to Dayton where they made a safe landing and taxied to the gate.
According to the video, passengers hopped alternative flights.
Maintenance determined that the cowling of the left hand engine had separated. AirTran is flying in its own mechanics.

Where: Billund, Denmark
When: Sept 22, 2012, 9:30 a.m.
Who: mo injuries
Why: Flight FR 9086 from Alicante to Gothenburg made an uneventful forced landing at Billund airport, Denmark due to technical problems. The plane took off normally at 6:55 but diverted to Billund instead of arriving at Gothenburg at the scheduled time of 10:15. Details are scarce.
A small plane crashed on Dayton Mountain in Rhea County, Tennessee, on June 20th.
The plane went down when the pilot was heading from Illinois to Atlanta, Georgia.
The pilot was injured in the crash and was taken to Erlanger Medical Center, Chattanooga.
The incident is under investigation.

What: British Airways Boeing 777-200 en route from London Heathrow to Boston,MA
Where: Shannon
When: May 23rd 2011
Who: 221 passengers
Why: En route over the Atlantic, smoke developed in the cockpit and the pilots declared emergency and diverted to Shannon.
(There is some speculation that the smoke was ash drawn into the cabin.)
The smoke increased on descent, but the pilot made a safe landing. The smoke is being blamed on an undesignated mechanical problem.
Above FL200, the atmosphere was (reported as) clear of Grimsvotn ash.
Passengers were provided hotel accommodations until the replacement flight arrived (May 24.)
An Army National Guard helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing in a field near Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, on January 22.
The Blackhawk helicopter was returning to Fort Indiantown Gap after a training flight when an engine chip warning light came on, forcing the pilots to land in emergency.
There were 2 pilots and 1 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

Who: 189 passengers and seven crew members.
Why: The plane had boarded but was pushed back to the gate when there was a cockpit fire.

WASHINGTON – The NTSB has dispatched a team of investigators to assist the government of Turkey in the investigation of an Oct. 14 fire in the cockpit of a Corendon Airlines Boeing 737-800.
The fire occurred Sunday at 4 a.m. local time as the airplane was being pushed back from the gate in Antalya, Turkey, for a scheduled flight to Trondheim, Norway. The aircraft was evacuated, and there were reports of injuries among the 189 passengers and seven crew members.
As the U.S. is the state of design and manufacture of the Boeing 737, the NTSB has designated Senior Air Safety Investigator Tim LeBaron as the traveling U.S. accredited representative. LeBaron is leading a team of investigators (specializing in aircraft systems, fire and survival factors) and advisers from the Federal Aviation Administration and Boeing, who are traveling to the scene to assist with the investigation.
The investigation is being conducted by the Turkish Directorate General of Civil Aviation, which will release all information.
