    Cessna Makes Emergency Landing in North Yorkshire Field

    CessnaA Cessna aircraft made an emergency landing in a field near Sherburn, Elmet in North Yorkshire, England, at about 11:45 a.m. on September 21.

    The plane, carrying 2 people, departed from Sherburn Airfield for a flying lesson and was on its way back when its engine failed.

    The instructor then safely landed it in a field and both people aboard remained uninjured.

    A Sherburn Airfield spokesperson admired the instructor’s skills and said that he made a ‘textbook emergency landing.’

    SpiceJet Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Ahmedabad

    SpiceJet flight SG-2976 had to return and make an emergency landing in Ahmedabad, India, on December 31st.

    The plane took off for Jodhpur, India, but had to turn back due to an issue with the cabin pressure.

    The plane landed safely. All seventy-nine passengers and four crew members remained unharmed.

    Aurora Airbus makes Safe Landing in Russia after Board Computer Failure

    AuroraAurora flight HZ-5616/SU-5616 had to return and make an emergency landing at Vladivostok International Airport, Vladivostok, Russia, on December 28.

    The Airbus A319-100 was en-route from Vladivostok, to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia, when the crew noticed some problem with one of its board computers and decided to return.

    The plane landed safely.

    All 122 passengers onboard remained safe.

    Boeing Press Release: Boeing Completes Acquisition of Narus

    ST. LOUIS, July 29, 2010 — Boeing today announced it has completed its acquisition of Narus, a leading provider of real-time network traffic and analytics software used to protect against cyber attacks and persistent threats aimed at large Internet Protocol networks.

    Narus, headquartered in Sunnyvale, Calif., will operate within Boeing’s Network & Space Systems business as a wholly owned subsidiary.
    Terms of the transaction, announced on July 7, are not being disclosed.

    China Southern Airlines Plane Diverts to Beijing due to Medical Emergency

    China SouthernChina Southern Airlines flight CZ6316, had to make an emergency landing at Beijing Capital International Airport in China, on April 14.

    The flight was heading from Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province to Shenyang, Liaoning Province, when a passenger, Li, started convulsing and vomiting. The pilot informed the authorities and requested an emergency landing in Beijing.

    The plane landed safely after which, Li was immediately shifted to hospital.

    The flight resumed shortly afterwards.

    Jet2 Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Bordeaux

    Jet2 flight LS-252 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Bordeaux, France, on August 10th.

    The Boeing 757-200 plane heading from Faro, Portugal, to Leeds, England, was diverted due to loss of cabin pressure.

    The plane landed safely. All two hundred and twenty people aboard remained unharmed.
