United Airlines flight 4340 had to divert for an emergency landing in Little Rock, Arkansas, on April 2nd.
The plane en-route from Houston, Texas, to Columbus, Ohio, was diverted due to problems with the electronic equipment on-board.
The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.
GoJet Airlines flight 3642, operating as United Express, made an emergency landing in Peoria, Illinois, just before noon on August 22, after the cabin lost air pressure.
According to Gene Olson, the Director of General Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport, “I don’t know exactly what the issue was, but there was a cabin depressurization so they made a precautionary landing here in Peoria.”
The CRJ-700, which was on its way from St. Louis to Chicago O’Hare, landed safely. No injuries were reported.
GoJet said in a statement that the flight was diverted due to indication of smoke in the cockpit. They further said, “We will use a replacement aircraft to accommodate passengers, and aircraft technicians will examine the aircraft to determine the cause of the indication.”

Why: A witness said the plane was chugging along with what seemed like one engine. Then…”roar of engine and all of a sudden, woop, dead silence.”
Where there had once been plans of a Korean family wedding, the joy of cousins, reunion of generations, and decades of Christmases like the one just past, for Don Yoon and his in-laws, there’s now only pain, and following that, an immeasurable vacuum. I guess there’s no point on my dwelling on how great the loss, or the irony. Don Yoon came to the US at 18 to build a better life, and one minute before that jet crashed, he had the American dream.
I guess you could say it went from dream to nightmare. The three years since that crash have ended with the U.S. District Court in San Diego awarding the surviving family members $17.8 million. I don’t need to be a gambler to know that they would trade every penny to have their family back.
ExpressJet flight 5106 had to make an emergency landing at Columbia Metropolitan Airport in South Carolina, at around 5:30 p.m. on November 19.
According to the FAA, the flight, en-route from Atlanta, Georgia to Wilmington, North Carolina was diverted, after the pilot reported pressurization problem.
The plane landed uneventfully and no one was injured.
Germania Airlines flight ST-6256 had to make an emergency landing in Munich, Germany, on October 6th.
The plane heading from Dusseldorf, Germany, to Tel Aviv, Israel, was diverted after a passenger complained of chest pain.
The plane landed safely. The passenger disembarked and received medical assistance.
The flight continued to Tel Aviv.
Frontier Airlines flight F9-429 made an emergency landing in Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 20th.
The Airbus A320-200N plane heading from Denver, Colorado, to Reno, Nevada, was diverted due to an issue with one of the navigation computers.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

What: KLM Boeing 777-200 en route from Atlanta,GA to Amsterdam
Where: Amsterdam
When: Feb 3
Why: After a successful flight from Atlanta to Amsterdam, the flight crew reported a flat tire prior to landing.
* (The plane’s indicators include a tire pressure indicator. As a rule, when 5 of the 6 main landing gear tires are correct, the pressure is adequate for landing.)
However, they made a successful landing and taxied to the gate.
