Pilot Injured after Ultralight Plane Makes Emergency Landing in British Columbia
An Amphibian Ultralight plane had to make an emergency landing at Highway 91 in Delta, British Columbia, Canada, on April 22.

Ultralight Plane Makes Uneventful Emergency Landing in Melrose
A small plane made an uneventful emergency landing on a residential street in Melrose, Florida, on Tuesday April 1.The incident was reported to the police by a neighbour who saw the plane going down.
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office confirms that the plane landed on Hotel Street at about 13:30 pm. No one, including the pilot, was injured in the incident and the ultralight plane also remained undamaged.
The pilot told the media that he was landing his airplane on his property, but refused to provide further details.

Ultralight Crashes in Tas

On January 11, 2013 at 10:10 a.m., an Australian Lightwing GR 912 was in Yorktown Tasmania. The plane, an ultralight, took off and nosedived in a vineyard next door to the airport, killing the sixty-five year old pilot.The cause of the crash on a West Tamar property off Bowens road, just north of Launceston has not been determined.
The Beaconsfield police responded to the scene.

Two Lost in Ultralight in Brazilian Rice Field

Where: Araranguá, southern Santa Catarina Brazil
When: April 8 2012
Who: 2 fatalities
Why: The ultralight was in Araranguá between the towns of Marazion and in Santa Catarina when it crashed in a rice paddy that backs up to highway BR-101. Both the pilot and passenger, Pereira de Souza, 45, and Antonio Carlos Bernardino, 30, died at the scene. Bernardino owned the ultralight and the two regularly flew together. Both victims were residents of Araranguá and in an Araranguá flying club. They were taken to Instituto Médico Legal (Forensic Institute).Witnesses say the plane just fell from the sky into the rice field. The incident occurred at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.
The accident is under investigations; preliminary findings are due within thirty days.
