Swiss International Airlines flight LX-14 made an emergency landing in Zurich, Switzerland, on April 17th.
The plane, heading from Zurich, Switzerland, to New York, had to turn back due to a hydraulic failure.
The plane landed uneventfully. No injuries were reported.

What: Air Canada Airbus A320-200 en route from Montreal Trudeau Canada to Fort Lauderdale, FL

Why: After reporting problems to air traffic control and returning to Montreal, on final approach to runway 06L the crew experienced “severe mechanical turbulence” and momentarily lost control of the plane. However, the plane landed safely; and shortly afterwards, the passengers were off to their destination–on board another Airbus.
*Mechanical turbulence is turbulence around buildings, wind eddies not caused by thermal means.
IndiGo Airlines flight 6E-3645 had to divert to Kolkata, India, on January 18th.
The Airbus A320-200 plane flying from Delhi to Assam, India, was diverted after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.
The plane landed uneventfully. There were 180 passengers and 6 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.
An American Airlines flight had to divert and make an emergency landing at Jacksonville International Airport, Florida, on March 14th.
The Boeing 737 plane heading from Miami, Florida, to Chicago, Illinois, was diverted after a passenger spilled soda on an electronic device.
The plane landed safely. All 149 passengers and 6 crew members aboard remained unharmed.
Silver Airways flight 3099 had to return and make an emergency landing at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Florida, on October 6.
The plane was heading to Key West when its windshield cracked, forcing the pilots to return.
The plane landed safely. No one was injured.
The passengers were transported to Key West in another flight.
The FAA is investigating.
Delta Airlines flight DL-2802 returned to Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport, Minnesota, on September 25.
The McDonnell Douglas MD-88, heading towards Tampa, Florida, had to return due to a burning odor in the back of cabin.
The plane landed uneventfully.
No injuries were reported.
On January 7, 2012, at 10:15 a.m. a Weber Logistics-owned Cessna Columbia LC41-550FG landed and rolled off the San Carlos Airport runway into a pond.
There were two people aboard the single engine plane and neither was injured.
