What: Spicejet Boeing 737-800 en route from New Delhi to Srinagar India
Where: Delhi
When: May 24th 2010
Who: 188 passengers
Why: After a normal takeoff, the crew was advised to return due to debris on the runway. After a flyby during which tire damage was observed, the Spicejet flight made a safe landing. Repairs were made and the flight took off again four hours later. No indication is made of passenger accommodation.

    Air Canada Rouge Flight Rejects Takeoff due to Engine Problem

    Air Canada Rouge flight RV-1722 had to reject takeoff from Vancouver, Canada, on December 19th.

    The Boeing 767-300 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Ixtapa, Mexico, when the crew rejected takeoff due to an engine problem.

    The plane safely returned to the apron. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Norwegian Air Shuttle Flight Returns to Oslo due to Problem with Toilets

    Norwegian Air Shuttle flight DY-1156 had to return and make an emergency landing in Oslo, Norway, on January 27th.

    The Boeing 737-800 plane took off for Munich, Germany, but had to turn back due to an issue with the toilets.

    The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Emirates A380 Diverts to Ottowa

    What: Emirates Airlines Airbus A380-800 en route from Dubai to Toronto
    Where: Ottowa
    When: Jun 1st 2012
    Who: 530 aboard
    Why: On approach to Toronto, the pilot entered a holding pattern due to bad weather, but on approach, was alerted to windshear, and made another precautionary go-round due to gusty conditions. They diverted to Ottowa where they made a safe landing. the plane touched down safely shortly after 5 p.m.

    The plane refueled, and made a safe landing in Toronto at Pearson after 9 pm.

    Pilots had declared (and undeclared) a fuel emergency on approach to Ottowa. After landing, the runway was inspected.

    Webjet Engine Trouble over Belo Horizonte, Brazil

    What: Webjet Boeing 737 en route from Belo Horizonte to Sao Paulo
    Where: Belo Horizonte
    When: Aug 10, 2011
    Who: 108 passengers
    Why: After takeoff, the pilots received indications of problems with the right engine.

    Passengers reported hearing noise from the engine, which jarred the plane.

    Pilots shut down the engine and diverted back to Belo Horizonte where they made a safe landing. There is no indication if it was a bird strike or some other type of mechanical problem.
