Southwest Airlines flight 1479 made an emergency landing in Austin, Texas, on June 7th.
The plane heading from San Antonio, Texas, to Chicago, Illinois, was diverted due to an issue with the flaps.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

What: American Airlines Boeing 737-800 en route from Chicago to Boston
Where: Albany

Who: 124 passengers and 6 crew
Why: While en route, the left engine lost oil pressure.
Pilots shut down the engine and diverted to Albany. They circled, and dumped fuel before making a safe landing. Emergency services were on standby.
Until 2008, the Albany Airport was a regular stop for American Airlines, and hopes soon to be a regular stop again.
A replacement jet was provided. Some passengers rented cars rather than wait.
Norwegian Air Shuttle flight DY-7191 made an emergency landing at Paris Orly Airport, France, on July 6th.
The Boeing 777-200 plane took off for Newark, New Jersey, but had to turn back after the crew failed to retract the nose gear.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
A small plane crash-landed at Richard I. Bong Memorial Airport, Superior, Wisconsin, on May 27.
According to fire officials, the pilot of the single-engine Bellanca 8KCAB aircraft reported technical issues before crash-landing in a field.
The pilot and his only passenger remained unharmed.
The FAA will investigate the cause of crash.
Blue Panorama Airlines flight BV-2221 made an emergency landing in Ancona, Italy, on July 17th.
The Boeing 737-400 plane heading from Tirana, Albania, to Milan–Malpensa Airport, Italy, was diverted after it suffered loss of cabin pressure due to a cracked windshield.
The plane landed safely. All one hundred and forty-three people aboard remained unharmed.
Cathay Dragon flight KA-618 had to return and make an emergency landing in Hong Kong, China, on April 24th.
The Airbus A330-300 plane took off for Xiamen, China, but had to return shortly afterwards due to an issue with the landing gear.
The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
A single-engine plane crashed at Lawrence J. Timmerman Airport, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on the evening of July 29.
Milwaukee County sheriff’s office spokesperson Fran McLaughlin said the plane caught fire after hitting the ground.
The plane was heading to Marquette University in Milwaukee, at the time.
The occupants of the plane, identified as Joseph Trustey, 53, and his daughter Anna Trustey, 18, lost their lives in the crash.
The NTSB and the FAA are investigating.
