A Piper PA-28 plane crashed near Loch Etive in Argyll region of Scotland, on April 4.
Authorities said the plane crashed after it lost contact in Glen Kinglass’ Beinn nan Lus area, at around 1:50 p.m. It is believed that the accident happened when the aircraft was heading from east Scotland to Hebrides Island, Tiree.
Two people were killed in the crash. Their bodies were recovered along with the wreckage.
The cause of crash is under investigation.
A small plane crashed in Owyhee County, Idaho, on November 3rd.
The plane was carrying two people when it went down.
The pilot Dean Hilde, 56, was killed in the crash. His passenger Gerald Bublitz, 42, sustained serious injuries and was flown to a hospital.
The FAA is investigating.
The pilot and thirteen passengers of a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan took off on Monday from Loreto to Ciudad Constitución Airport but lost contact with air traffic control after takeoff, and subsequently all died in a crash in the Sierra de La Giganta mountains. Their deaths were confirmed when the wreckage was located on October 16.
The Aereo Service Guerrero Cessna Grand Caravan had a license plate XA-TXM.

What: Aviastar-TU Tupolev TU-204-100 ferry flight en route from Hurghada Egypt to Moscow

Why: While nearing its destination in poor weather conditions with limited visibility, .6 miles from the runway, the flight went off radar, landing 3300 feet shy of the runway– ostensibly a belly landing–crashing in a forested area. Five aboard had minor injuries and two were injured seriously. One wing separated, and the rest of the plane incurred serious damage.
Sunday, another Tu-204 plane bound for Hurghada, left Domodedovo but had to return to Moscow.
A Bell 206-L4 helicopter crashed in the Gulf of Mexico at South Timbalier Block 317, some 90 miles from Houma, on the afternoon of June 11.
The accident happened when the helicopter was on its way to an oil rig platform, with two people on-board.
The crashed helicopter and 2 dead bodies were recovered after tireless efforts of U.S. Coast Guard first responders and many others on June 13. The names of the deceased have not so far been released.
The helicopter, owned by Westwind Helicopters, was contracted by an oil and gas company, Wood Group, at the time of accident. A spokesperson of the company, Bobbie, confirmed the incident and said “Our thoughts and prayers are with them, their families and friends during this difficult time.”
Westwind Helicopters and NTSB are working to determine the cause of crash.
Southwest Airlines flight 4519 made an emergency landing at Corpus Christi International Airport, Texas, on June 25th.
Authorities said the plane flying from Los Angeles, California, to Houston, Texas, was diverted due to a disruptive passenger.
The plane landed safely. The disruptive passenger was taken into custody.
A 25-year-old Swiss passenger prevented a potential aviation disaster after reporting that a spanner was stuck in the plane’s wing.
Just moments before the EasyJet flight EZS1465 was scheduled to take off, Christophe spotted the spanner and immediately told the airline personnel.
According to the airline, “easyJet can confirm that EZS1465 from Geneva to Copenhagen on 4 March retuned to stand prior to departure from Geneva as a result of a passenger informing crew about noticing an object in the wing… In line with our procedures, the captain took the decision to return to stand for it to be investigated. A spanner was discovered and removed and the flight departed with a small delay.”
The incident is being investigated.
