    Trans Maldivian Plane makes Crash Landing in Maldives

    A Trans Maldivian flight made a crash landing at Velana International Airport, Malé, Maldives, on May 27th.

    The de Havilland DHC-6-300 flying from Rangali Island, Maldives, had just landed when it tipped over to its left and its nose and left wing was submerged in the water.

    All 9 passengers and 3 crew members were taken to hospital for precautionary measures.

    The aircraft sustained partial damage.

    Cessna Street Landing As Electrical Quits


    On Jan 31, 2013, a Cessna R172K was en route from Governor Francisco Gabrielli International Airport (El Plumerillo International Airport, ) in Mendoza Argentina to San Carlos de Bariloche Airport in San Carlos de Bariloche, Río Negro, Argentina when it suffered a loss of electrical power.

    Pilot Rodolfo Smith made a safe emergency landing near Villa La Angostura.

    Pilots made an emergency landing on Route 40 Rincon Chico Zone, The passengers had planned to visit Bariloche and fly on to Chile. Individuals from an Aeroclub and ANAC came to assist.

    Repairs to the electrical system were made and the plane took off to complete its journey. The passengers were en route to a festival in Chile.

    United Airlines Flight 1263 Makes Emergency Landing in Jackson, Mississippi

    United Airlines flight 1263 made an emergency landing at the Jackson-Evers International Airport, after a mechanical fault was discovered.

    The flight was en route from Chicago to New Orleans when the problem was detected after which, the plane was landed in Jackson, Mississippi, on Monday, March 17, 2014.

    Jackson Municipal Airport Authority confirms that none of the passengers or crew members were injured.

    Ebola Scare Prompts American Airlines Emergency Landing

    American AirlinesEbola scare prompted an American Airlines flight to make an unscheduled landing at Tulsa International airport, Oklahoma, on October 18.

    The flight was on its way from Hartford, Connecticut to Dallas, Texas, when a passenger became sick midair. The plane was then diverted to Tulsa where fire and HAZMAT response teams were put on alert. According to Bennie E. Herring, Tulsa Fire Department battalion chief, “We had a conversation, we believe, between the pilots and the tower, and somewhere in that conversation the word Ebola was said, or Ebola like symptoms.”

    The plane landed safely. The emergency crews asked the passengers to wait while they ruled out Ebola and determined that the passenger’s illness was due to complications from a previous surgery.

    The flight later resumed its journey.

    United Airlines Plane Rejects Take-off due to Issue with Cockpit Window

    United Airlines flight UA-61 rejected take-off at Newark Liberty International Airport, New Jersey, on July 23rd.

    The Boeing 767-300 flying to Honolulu, Hawaii, had to reject taking-off due to some issue with a cockpit window.

    The plane landed safely.

    All 201 people aboard remained safe.

    Air France Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Paraguay

    Air France flight AF-229 made an emergency landing in Asuncion, Paraguay, on December 19th.

    The Boeing 777-200 plane heading from Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Charles de Gaulle Airport, France, was diverted due to an unusual odor on-board.

    The plane landed safely. All two hundred and seventy-four people aboard remained unharmed.

    It is believed that the odor was caused due to overheating of an electrical component.
