    Mesa Airlines Plane Rejects Takeoff in Texas

    Mesa AirlinesMesa Airlines flight YV-5631/ AA-5631 had to abort takeoff at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, Dallas, Texas, on April 20th.

    The Canadair CRJ-900 was about to takeoff for Columbia, South Carolina, when the crew had to abort taking off due to a flight control issue.

    The plane remained on the taxiway, and resumed flight after 40 minutes.

    Delta Airlines Flight Attendant Injured during Landing in Florida

    250px-Delta_logo.svgDelta Airlines flight DL-1819 made a safe landing at Orlando International Airport, Orlando, Florida, on May 6th.

    The Boeing 737-900, flying from Salt Lake City, Utah, was landing at Orlando’s runway when a flight attendant onboard received unknown injuries.

    The cause of the incident has not been reported.

    Air France Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Rio de Janeiro

    Air France flight AF-443 had to return and make an emergency landing in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on April 14th.

    The Boeing 777-300 plane took off for Charles de Gaulle Airport, France, but had to turn back after the crew reported issues with the weather radar.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All passengers and crew members remained safe.

    Atlanta-Bound Delta Airlines Flight Diverts After Bird Strike

    Delta Airlines flight DL-552 had to divert and make an emergency landing in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, on July 23rd.

    The Boeing 737-700 plane heading from Tegucigalpa, Honduras, to Atlanta, Georgia, was diverted due to a bird strike.

    The plane landed safely. All 110 people aboard remained unharmed.

    Where: Sydney
    When: ebruary 18, 2010
    Who: 197 passengers
    Why: After takeoff, the Qantas Airbus landing gear failed to retract, leading it to circle for 2 hours burning off fuel until it was light enough to land. Passengers were provided an alternative Airbus.

    Emergency Landing in S.C.


    Pictured: Delta Connection (Comair) Canadair CL-600-2C10 Regional Jet CRJ-701ER over Atlanta. This one is purely a guess on my part since the info is sketchy (so far) and no registration # yet. But this jet is both Comair and Delta and CRJ, and south, so we’re probably not too far off.

    Why: While en route, the plane developed smoke in the cockpit and made an emergency landing in Myrtle Beach, about 100 miles north of Charleston.
