An Oaxaca State Government McDonnell Douglas MD 600N was en route from Hospital Regional de Putla Villa de Guerrero, Oaxaca, Mexico to Hospital General de Oaxaca, Oaxaca, Mexico when it crashed with four people aboard.
The crash was located five miles from Oaxaca. The preliminary report lists Captain Guillermo Chavez Medina, the aeromedical Paul Hector Vicente, less than 24 hours old surname Martinez Sanchez (patient) and the latter’s father, Pedro Martinez, approximately 20 years old.
The Medevac helicopter/air ambulance was transporting the infant who was less than 24 hours old.
Bad weather or mechanical failure may have been behind the crash in Guerrero Cuilapan.
Emergency services have cordoned off the area prior to investigation.

American Airlines Flight 550 diverted and made an emergency landing at Syracuse Hancock International Airport, New York, at around 7:13 A.M. on October 17.
The Airbus A320, en-route to Boston, Massachusetts, from Phoenix, Arizona, had to be diverted due to a medical emergency involving death of the pilot, Mr. Johnston, mid-air.
The plane landed uneventfully.
All 147 passengers aboard remained unhurt.

In case anyone is following this, the real reason behind the Aug 25th 2010 crash of the Filair LET L-410 en route from Kinshasa Ndolo to Bandundu Democratic Republic of Congo has been published. A passenger had secreted an alligator in his duffel bag, when the alligator got loose, everyone ran away from it, which unbalanced the plane which caused the crash. Of the 18 passengers and 3 crew, there were only 3 survivors (2 people plus the alligator.) One of the survivors later died; and someone killed the crocodile with a machete. I wonder if the lone survivor is the one who owned the duffel bag. Somehow I doubt it.

A Russian cargo plane crashed into the Bay of Bengal, off the coast of Cox’s Bazar district of Bangladesh, on March 9th.
The Antonov An-26 plane, belonging to True Aviation cargo service, was transporting shrimp from Cox’s Bazar airport to Jessore district, Bangladesh, when it went down. According to airport manager Sadhan Kumar, “Before the crash the pilot sent us a message saying one of the two engines of the plane went out of order… We prepared the airport for its emergency landing but the aircraft could not make its way back here.”
There were four Ukrainian crew members aboard at the time; three of them were killed in the crash while fourth one was injured.
The crash is under investigation.

American Airlines flight AA-1353 made an emergency landing in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on March 29th.
The Boeing 737-800 plane flying from Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas, was on final approach when the captain declared a medical emergency saying, “We’ve got an issue with one of the pilots.”
The plane continued for a safe landing. Emergency services performed CPR on the first officer, however, could not save his life.
The deceased first officer was identified as William “Mike” Grubbs, 58.
The incident is being investigated.

Several different alerts on this plane went off immediately prior to the plane disappearing from the radar, including 1) issues with the windows on the co-pilot’s side of the plane; 2) two smoke alerts, the first one “SMOKE LAVATORY SMOKE” at 00:26 a.m. local time; 3) the second one “AVIONICS SMOKE” at 00:27 a.m. The second alert refers smoke in the avionics bay, which is located below the cockpit, and is where the electronics are housed.
This is also the same plane that was vandalised two years ago at Cairo Airport. In Arabic someone, presumably Cairo Airport workers, wrote on its belly, “We will bring this plane down.”
It is a special concern that the plane had flown to Eritrea.
The US State Department has a standing travel warning for Eritrea, and is quoted as saying “security at the Asmara airport ‘can be unpredictable,’ and had a ‘lack of efficiency and consistency” in screening passengers.'”
“on 2016/06/01, Egypt’s Civil Aviation Authority reported “Laplace” located pings presumably from one of MS804’s black boxes. The vessel “John Lethbridge” of DOS will be joining the search team to retrieve the black boxes. The BEA (FR)confirmed that Egyptian Authorities have confirmed a “signal that may come from one of the recorders” of flight MS-804. The BEA did NOT confirm that a black box has been located.”
