What: 1986 Piper PA-46 Malibu, Malibu Mirage s inbound from Hutchinson, Kan Where: YAMPA VALLEY AIRPORT, HAYDEN, CO 2 ½ miles northwest of Elkhead Reservoir When: 12/22/2008 Time: 1920 Who: Pilot and passenger Joseph and Suzette Brumleve Why: The pilot told the control tower that he was having trouble with the plane’s landing gear. Piper crashes on approach, 10 miles west of the runway at Yampa Valley Regional Airport in Hayden. The deceased couple was part of an investment group attempting to purchase the Steamboat Ski Area.
The pilot “did a fly-by of the runway and was in a right turn to get on a heading for the runway when about three-quarters of the way through the turn he made an unexpected left bank”

On Feb 26, 2013, a Sky Cruise Egyptian Airship Balloon, an Ultra Magic N-425 hot air balloon, was on a tourist flight and crashed. The balloon caught fire while being tied down. Original reports said there were eighteen fatalities, and two injured tourists. One of the injured tourists died at the hospital on the operating table.
The pilot and one tourist survived.
Three British, two French, one Hungarian, nine Hong Kong, one Egyptian and four Japanese tourists died when the balloon caught fire and fell into a field.
Two people, including the pilot jumped out before impact. The pilot, who jumped at about 33-49ft is being treated for burns.
Luxor has banned all balloon flight.
Sky Cruise said a gas cylinder exploded on board. Crews were anchoring the balloon when the ropes entangled with the gas system powering balloon, severed the connection, and the gas caught fire.
The British foreign office made this statement: We can confirm the tragic deaths of 2 British Nationals and 1 British resident following a hot air balloon crash in Luxor, Egypt earlier today. The next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them and their families at this difficult time. We are providing them with consular assistance. We can also confirm that one other British National was involved and is in a stable condition.
We have had consular officials in Luxor since early this morning who have been focussed on providing consular assistance and supporting the Egyptian authorities. Our Ambassador to Egypt has met the injured British National and has offered our assistance”.
What: dell’eliambulanza medical emergency service helicopter Where: Mount Cristallo/ Mount Faloria near Cortina d’Ampezzo Ski Resort When: Saturday, 22nd August 2009 Who: 4 people on board: two engineers (co-pilot Marco Zago and Stefano da Forno), a doctor (Spaziani Fabrizio) and the pilot (Dario De Felipe) Why: The helicopter appeared to have hit a high voltage cable while flying in bad weather. The helicopter was in the process of responding to landslide near Rio Gere, towards Passo Tre Croci. Continued bad weather hampered recovery efforts.
This would have been Zago’s last mission before transferring to another job.
The remains have been recovered, however, and were taken to the hospitap mortuary in Cortina Codivilla. This hazardous area frequently requires mountain rescue services.

A helicopter operated by Reeder Flying Service based out of Twin Falls crashed in a hayfield near milepost 41 on highway 24, northwest of Paul, Idaho, shortly before 5:30 p.m. on June 29.
Sheriff Kevin Ellis of Lincoln County said that all three people aboard the helicopter suffered injuries of varied degrees. Two of the injured were taken to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello by air, while the third one was transported to St. Luke’s Magic Valley by ambulance.
Minidoka County Sheriff’s Office, the fire department, and paramedics responded to the scene.
The FAA is looking into the cause of the crash.

What: Piper PA32RT-300 en route from Lewisburg, West Virginia to Memphis Where: near the old National Guard site off Democrat Road, Memphis When: November 29, 2009, 4:15 p.m Who: 4 on board, one in critical condition Why: On approach to the runway, the plane landed 1500-2000 feet short of the runway and caught fire. No cause is given, but it is under investigation by the FAA. Co-owner Emmett O’Ryan was pronounced dead at the scene.

The FAA confirms that O’Ryan was caught flying in 2007 in Olive Branch in an unsafe aircraft not meeting FAA standards. Records show the incident involved the same plane in this crash
The injured were transported by ambulance to the hospital. Three are non-critical.
Piloting the plane was businessman Emmett O’Ryan. Aboard was his daughter Ruth, his son Robert, and Robert’s friend Patrick Jenning.

Do we know more than we did before the investigations? No, we do not. Because after almost 9 months, we still haven’t heard the official investigation of the Air Blue Airbus that crashed in Margalla Hills on July 28, 2010. And this is not one of those cases where the blackboxes disappeared. The black boxes on this flight were located and sent to France for processing.
What: AirBlue Airbus A321-200 en route from Karachi to Islamabad Pakistan Where: Margalla Hills about 10nm north of Islamabad When: Jul 28th 2010 Who: 146 passengers and 6 crew Why: While on approach to Islamabad in poor weather conditions during monsoon rain and low visibility, radio contact was lost (at 09:45) and the plane impacted the terrain.
Helicopters flew into the mountainous area, which is difficult to access. Initial reports were that there were no survivors then helicopters were reported to have flown five survivors to hospitals. Six bodies have been recovered including the pilot but there are no survivors (in spite of the video report.)

On July 28, 2010, Airblue flight 202, an Airbus A321 with IAE V2500 engines, registration AP-BCB, impacted terrain in the Margilla Hills during approach to runway 12 at Benazir Bhutto International Airport (OPRN), Islamabad, Pakistan. All 150 passengers and 7 crewmembers onboard were fatally injured and the airplane was destroyed. The flight was a regularly scheduled passenger flight from Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, Pakistan (OPKC) to OPRN.
