    What: Continental Airlines Boeing 737-800 en route from Newark to Portland
    Where: Helena
    When: Sunday Dec 6 10 p.m.-6:15 a.m.
    Who: 150 passengers
    Why: While en route to Portland, the plane developed engine trouble, and landed safely in Helena. Passengers were accommodated in the terminal, and a replacement flight arrived to take them to their destination, embarking for Portland at 6:15 a.m.

    American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Peoria

    American Airlines flight AA-5710 had to return and make an emergency landing in Peoria, Illinois, on January 6th.

    The plane took off for Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Texas, but had to turn back due to an electronic problem.

    The plane landed safely. All seventy-eight people aboard remained unharmed.

    Four Killed in New Mexico Plane Crash

    All four people aboard a single-engine Beech/Raytheon G36 Bonanza were killed after it crashed near Whiskey Creek Airport outside of Silver City, New Mexico.

    The accident happened about a mile northeast of the Whiskey Creek Airport, when the plane was making a landing attempt. According to FAA officials, the plane went down and then burst into flames just before 4 p.m. on May 23.

    The fire sparked after the crash prompted the police to evacuate an adjacent trailer park as a precaution.

    The identities of the deceased are not known at the moment.

    The cause of accident is under investigation.

    Bird-Struck Southwest Flight Makes Emergency Landing at BWI

    southwestnySouthwest Airlines flight 3118 was forced to make an emergency landing at Baltimore–Washington International Airport, Maryland, at 8:49 p.m. on December 12.

    Emergency protocols were deployed at the airport after the pilot reported a bird strike. The flight from San Antonio was approaching BWI at the time.

    The plane landed safely and all 142 passengers and 5 crew members remained unharmed.

    The aircraft was taken for examination.

    American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Flaps Issue

    American Airlines flight AA-1343 had to return and make an emergency landing in Cancun, Mexico, on February 20th.

    The Airbus A321-200 plane took off for Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Texas, but had to return shortly afterwards due to an issue with the flaps.

    The plane landed back safely. There were 185 people aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

    Brussels Airlines Plane Returns to Belgium due to Engine Issue

    BrusselsBrussels Airlines flight SN-3201 had to return and make an emergency landing at Brussels Airport, Zaventem, Belgium, on November 4.

    The Airbus A319-100, en-route to Venice, Italy, had to return due to some issue with one of its engines. The crew had to shut the engine down mid-air.

    The plane landed safely.

    All 124 people aboard remained safe.
