    Pilot Killed in Ultralight Plane Crash Near Petaluma Airport

    UltralightAn ultralight aircraft crashed near Petaluma Municipal Airport in Sonoma County, California, on the afternoon of April 3.

    The pilot was killed in the accident. His identity was not immediately released.

    FAA spokesperson Ian Gregor confirmed the incident, saying that the experimental Quicksilver MXL II aircraft went down under unknown circumstances.

    The aircraft is registered to a Petaluma man.

    The NTSB and the FAA are investigating.

    What: Horizon Air Bombardier CRJ-700 en route from Fresno to Seattle
    Where: Sacramento
    When: Tuesday, November 10, 2009 7:30 a.m
    Who: 25 passengers
    Why: While en route, the flight experienced problems with its left engine which the crew had to shut down; and they requested an emergency diversion to Sacramento where it landed safely at 8:30 a.ml

    Passengers were provided with alternative flights.

    JetBlue Flight Diverts to Atlantic City International Airport

    JetBlue flight B6-1443 had to divert for an emergency landing in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on June 28th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane heading from Newark, New Jersey, to West Palm Beach, Florida, was diverted after smoke was noticed in the cockpit.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Monarch Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Flaps Issue

    Monarch Airlines flight ZB-744 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Porto Santo, Portugal, on January 23rd.

    The Airbus A321-200 plane flying from Gatwick Airport, England, to Funchal, Portugal, was diverted after the crew reported issues with the flaps.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All 137 passengers aboard remained safe.

    China Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Japan

    China Airlines flight CI-170 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Nagoya, Japan, on July 8th.

    The Boeing 737-800 plane flying from Taipei, Taiwan, was originally scheduled to land in Toyama, Japan. However, despite multiple attempts, the crew could not land in Toyama due to unstable air currents.

    The crew subsequently diverted to Nagoya and made an emergency landing due to shortage of fuel.

    All one hundred and fifty-five people aboard remained unharmed.
