    Transavia Plane Returns to Netherlands due to Non-Working Toilets

    Transavia flight HV-5807 had to return and make an emergency landing at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Netherlands, at May 28th.

    The Boeing 737-800 flying to Thessaloniki, Greece, had to return because none of its toilets was working.

    The plane landed safely.

    No injuries were reported.

    Bomb Threat Diverts Korean Air to Airbase with F-15 Escort

    What: Korean Airlines Boeing 777 en route from Vancouver to Seoul
    Where: Comox air base
    When: April 10, 2012 5:30 p.m
    Who: 149 passengers, 12 crew members
    Why: After a bomb threat was made in a telephone call to the Korean Airlines Los Angeles office, the flight was diverted to Canada’s Comox air base, which is 70 miles outside Vancouver.

    The flight was escorted by U.S. Air Force F-15 fighter jets. Three hours after the flight took off, it landed in Comex safely.

    Officers checked passengers and luggage, Royal Canadian Mounted Police were investigating. Police, fire trucks and B.C. Ambulance paramedics were also on the scene.

    Small Plane Crash-Lands in Plano Golf Course

    small-plane-in-waterA small plane made a crash landing in a pond on the golf course at Prestonwood Country Club in Plano, Texas, on the evening of October 27.

    The plane was heading to Addison Airport when the pilot reported some engine troubles. According to spokesperson of Plano PD, Detective Jerry Minton, “He decided he was going to find a place to land and saw the fairway, but upon final approach he said he had high tailwind and overshot the fairway…It ended up in the water, flipped upside down and started sinking.”

    The authorities confirmed that the pilot, who was the only one aboard, remained uninjured.

    The incident remains under investigation.

    Darwin Airlines Plane Diverts to Italy after Issue with Nose Gear

    Darwin Airlines flight F7-17 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Milan–Malpensa Airport, formerly City of Busto Arsizio Airport, Italy, on June 1st.

    The Saab 2000, flying from Geneva, Switzerland, to Lugano, Switzerland, had to divert after the crew received an unsafe indication for the nose gear.

    The plane landed safely.

    No one was injured.

    Delta Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Amsterdam

    Delta Airlines flight DL-161 made an emergency landing in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on April 26th.

    The Airbus A330-300 plane took off for Minneapolis, Minnesota, but had to turn back after the crew reported an engine stall.

    The plane landed back safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    REX Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Dubbo, New South Wales

    Regional Express Airlines flight ZL-821 had to return for an emergency landing in Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia, on March 23rd.

    The plane took off for Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, but had to turn back after its right hand engine failed.

    The plane landed back safely. All 23 passengers and 3 crew members remained unharmed.
