Delta Airlines flight 4916 had to make an emergency landing at Dulles International Airport in Virginia, around 26 miles west of downtown Washington, D.C.
The flight en route from Westchester, NY to Atlanta, GA, took off at about 6am on May 20. Shortly after take-off, the crew discovered a problem in one of its engines.
The Canadair CRJ-700 with 58 passengers diverted towards the Dulles International Airport where it made an uneventful emergency landing.
The plane is being examined by the maintenance crews.
