Delta Airlines flight DL-363 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Tampico, Mexico, on February 2nd.
The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from Atlanta, Georgia, to Mexico City, Mexico, was diverted after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Delta Airlines flight DL-2183 had to reject take off from Daytona Beach, Florida, on November 28th.
The plane was accelerating to take off for Atlanta, Georgia, when the crew reported multiple bird strike and rejected take off.
The plane safely returned to the apron.

What: Air Tran Airways Boeing 717-200

Who: 117 passengers
Why: maneuvered to avoid another airplane during cruise-descent near Norfolk, Virginia. The 2 certificated airline transport pilots, 2 flight attendants, and 116 passengers were not injured.
One flight attendant received serious injuries, and one passenger received minor injuries.
An hour into the flight the captain had made a public address announcement to report turbulence, within seconds of when one flight attendants in the forward galley was “thrown” into the galley counter, and another “came up slightly” off her jumpseat. It appeared to both of them that the airplane had “dropped,” several hundred feet.
A flight attendants who noticed a 10 year old boy exiting an aft lavatory decided to wait to be seated until the boy had made his way back to his assigned seat when both of them were tossed to the ceiling.
An eye doctor and a retired paramedic assisted the injured until paramedics met the flight.
The operations center received an “ACARS” (Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System) message from the flight crew advising them that a flight attendant had fallen and a boy had a “bump on head.” They also advised that they had been descending from flight level 350 to 330 due to turbulence.

What: US Airways Airbus A320-200 en route from Phoenix to Oakland

Who: 147 passengers
Why: Nose gear steering of the US Airways Airbus failed on approach to Oakland. The flight was diverted to San Francisco, where nose gear operation apparently was recovered prior to landing.
A single-engine Piper PA-32 crashed during an emergency landing at interstate 285 in DeKalb County, Georgia on May 8.
The incident happened when the plane was transporting 4 people from DeKalb Peachtree Airport to Oxford, Mississippi to attend a University of Mississippi graduation ceremony.
Everyone aboard was killed in the crash. The victims were later identified as the pilot Greg Byrd, his sons Christopher and Phillip, and Christopher’s fiancee, Jackie Kulzer.
The cause of accident is being investigated.
American Airlines flight AA-2681 had to return and make an emergency landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, on January 5th.
The Boeing 737-800 plane took off for Cancun, Mexico, but had to turn back due to an engine fire indication.
The plane landed safely. All one hundred and sixty-seven people aboard remained unharmed.
A Norwegian Air flight en route from Copenhagen, Denmark to Oslo, Norway had to make an emergency landing in Sweden, due to a bomb threat from an on-board passenger.
The Boeing 737, carrying around 94 people, was on its way on April 25 afternoon when a passenger told a crew member that he had placed a bomb in the cargo hold. Following the threat, the plane made emergency landing at Landvetter airport, Gothenburg, Sweden, at around 3.30pm GMT.
Lasse Sandaker-Nielsen, the spokesperson for Norwegian Air said “Passengers have left the plane and the man who had warned of the bomb is under control by the police.”
Björ Blixter, a Gothenburg Police official said that the investigation is underway.
