    American Airlines Flight Returns to DFW Airport After Tail Strike

    American Airlines flight AA-2293 returned to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Texas, on September 29th.

    The Boeing 737-800 plane took off for Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Virginia, but suffered a tail strike during departure. The crew consequently stopped the climb and returned to Dallas.

    ExpressJet Flight Rejects Takeoff From Atlanta

    ExpressJet flight EV-5508 had to reject takeoff from Atlanta, Georgia, on August 9th.

    The Canadair CRJ-900 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Tulsa, Oklahoma, when the crew reported a blown tire and rejected takeoff.

    The plane was disabled on the runway and had to be towed off.

    Everyone aboard remained safe.

    Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing in Aquebogue Sod Farm

    A homemade Mosquito ultralight helicopter made an emergency landing on a sod farm in Aquebogue, New York, on the afternoon of November 9.

    The incident happened after the aircraft developed mechanical issues.

    According to the police, the pilot was found unconscious near the helicopter and was taken to hospital. He was later identified as Erwin Rodger, 71, of Mattituck.

    The FAA is investigating.

    Corendon Dutch Airlines flight CD-295 made an emergency landing in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on June 27th.

    The Boeing 737-800 plane took off for Kos, Greece, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew received a wheel well fire indication.

    The plane landed back uneventfully. All passengers and crew members remained safe.

    All Nippon Airways flight NH-629 made an emergency landing at Kansai International Airport, Japan, on June 27th.

    The Boeing 767-300 plane heading from Tokyo to Kagoshima, Japan, was diverted due to the loss of cabin pressure.

    The plane landed safely. All one hundred and five passengers and eight crew members remained unharmed.
