    Dog Poop Prompts Emergency Landing in Kansas City

    US AirwaysA US Airways flight, on its way from Los Angeles to Philadelphia, had to make an emergency landing in Kansas City, Missouri, due to dog poop.

    The Flight 598 was midair when a large dog pooped in the plane’s aisle, atleast twice, making those sitting nearby physically ill.

    The flight crew did their best to clean up the aisle. Some passengers reported that the crew ran out of paper towels after they cleaned the mess for the first time. But the dog went again and the flight crew then did not have anything left to clean up the area.

    The stink started making the nearby passengers to vomit and dry heave, after which the plane was diverted to the Kansas City, where it made an uneventful emergency landing on May 28.

    A cleaning crew cleaned up the mess afterwards and the plane continued its journey to Philadelphia.

    Bird-Hit Delta Airlines Flight Makes Safe Landing in Orlando

    Delta Airlines flight DL-2128 suffered a bird strike near Orlando, Florida, on June 11th.

    The incident happened when the Airbus A320-200 plane flying from Detroit, Michigan, was on approach to Orlando International Airport.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    United Express Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Cockpit Fire

    United ExpressCommutAir Flight 4776, operating as United Express, made an emergency landing at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, on June 5.

    The Dash 8 turboprop commuter jet, en-route from Newark Liberty International Airport to Bradley, declared emergency on approach after a small fire broke out in the cockpit.

    Authorities said the crew had put out the fire with a fire extinguisher before the plane landed safely. All 36 passengers and 3 crew members remained unharmed.

    The airline said in a statement, “We are very thankful for the quick response of our flight crew to ensure the safety of our passengers — the aircraft has been removed from service and will undergo a thorough maintenance evaluation.”

    The cause of fire is being investigated.

    Air France Flight Makes Emergency Landing after Hydraulic Failure

    Air FranceAir France flight AF-604 made an emergency landing in Pointe a Pitre, Guadeloupe, on November 13th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane departed for Fort de France, Martinique, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew reported a hydraulic failure.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Boliviana de Aviacion Flight Returns to La Paz

    Boliviana de AviaciónBoliviana de Aviacion flight OB-442 made an emergency landing in La Paz, Bolivia, on August 18th.

    The Boeing 737-300 aircraft had departed for Cochabamba, Bolivia, when the crew reported that cabin did not pressurize and decided to turn back.

    The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unhurt.
