What: Ariana Afghan Airlines Boeing 727-200 en route from Kabul to Kandahar to Mashad

Why: While en route, a passenger began kicking a cabin window and broke through one pane and attempted to open the emergency exit before he was subdued. He had tried to bring a knife aboard but was confiscated at the gate. After attacking the plane, security took him into custody and escorted him to the back of the plane.
The flight landed landed safely in Kandahar where the window-kicker was taken into custody.
