British Airways Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Azerbaijan
British Airways flight BA-198 made an emergency landing in Baku, Azerbaijan, on December 11th.The Boeing 777-300 plane heading from Mumbai, India, to Heathrow Airport, England, was diverted due to smoke in the cabin.
The plane landed uneventfully. All one hundred and thirty-five passengers and seventeen crew members remained safe.
BBMF Aircraft Makes Emergency Landing at RAF Coningsby
The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) plane made an emergency landing at Royal Air Force Coningsby, near Horncastle, England on May 7.The aircraft was on a practice flight for the Victory in Europe Day (VE Day) celebrations, to be held on May 10, when it caught fire and had to be landed in emergency.
None of the crew members was injured and the fire was extinguished after landing.
Due to the incident, the aircraft would not join the celebrations, confirmed the authorities.

Allegiant Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Savannah
Allegiant Air flight 738 made an emergency landing in Savannah, Georgia, on April 27th.Passengers reported that the plane flying from Orlando, Florida, to Elmira/Corning Regional Airport, New York, was diverted due to electrical issues.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Piper Crashes in Cornfield near York Airport
What: Condor Flying Club Inc Piper PA-28-180 Cherokee en route from Fredrick, Maryland.
Where: Lincoln Highway West, Thomasville, PA
When: Jan 29, 2012, 11:00 am
Who: 1 fatality
Why: The piper crashed in a cornfield off of Lincoln Highway, a mile from the airport. The pilot, Douglas Helms of Westminster Maryland was pronounced dead at the scene. Helms will be at Lehigh Valley Hospital. The cause of the crash is unknown. An investigation is underway. The vehicle is registered to CONDOR FLYING CLUB INC

Why: On approach, ATC communication failed. With air traffic control’s radar and communication radio out of service, the flight circled, and after two hours in a holding pattern, landed after declaring a fuel emergency.Other flights also had the same experience.
Nigeria’s Airspace Management Agency NAMA was unavailable for two hours.
