What: SAS Scandinavian Airlines/ Cimber Air Canadair CRJ-100 en route from Turku Finland to Copenhagen Denmark

Why: After takeoff, the plane developed a problem with the left engine and it was shut down. The crew returned the plane to the Turku airport and made a safe landing.
Tui fly flight X3-2806 made a safe landing after a bird strike near Funchal, Portugal, on September 12th.
The Boeing 737-800 plane flying from Frankfurt, Germany, was on final approach to Funchal when a bird hit it.
The plane continued for a safe landing. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Ryanair flight FR-8086 had to return and make an emergency landing at Riga International Airport, Riga, Latvia, on October 26.
The Boeing 737-800, en-route to Charleroi, Belgium, had to return due to suspected fuel leakage in one of its engine.
The plane landed safely.
All 176 passengers and 6 crew members aboard remained unhurt.
A Cessna 172 and a Cessna 172RG Cutlass collided over Westlake Village eight miles east northeast of Ventura.
The Cutlass, registered to Ameriflyers of Florida LLC made an emergency landing on the Westlake Golf Course, Westlake Village, California. Three aboard sustained minor injuries in a belly landing at 2:15 p.m. near the third hole. They were hospitalized with minor injuries.
The second plane crashed in the Santa Monica Mountains, sparking a brush fire and a search and rescue effort. The pilot was found under the wreckage.
One of the planes had left Santa Monica Airport on an engine test flight and was heading east when it collided with the other.
United Airlines flight UA-657 made an emergency landing in Newark, New Jersey, on October 23rd.
The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from LaGuardia Airport, New York, to George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Texas, was diverted due to an engine issue.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

What: Air Busan Boeing 737-400 en route from Fukuoka (Japan) to Busan (South Korea)
Where: Fukuoka Japan

Who: 153 aboard
Why: When cleared for takeoff, the Air Busan flight was taxiing when it went performed a runway incursion as a Jal Express Boeing was on final approach. The incursion casued a collision hazard/ loss of separation with an aircraft taking off, intending to take off, landing or intending to land. The Jal had to perform a go-around, but landed safely less than half an hour later. Then the Air Busan flight took off normally.
Saudi Arabian Airlines flight SV-366 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Cairo International Airport, Cairo, Egypt, on April 30th.
The Airbus A330-300 flying from Tunis, Tunisia, to Madinah, Saudi Arabia, had to divert due to a technical problem.
The plane landed safely.
No one was injured.
