What: Primera Air Boeing 737-700 en route from Greece to Dublin

Who: 148 passengers and 6 crew
Why: High fuel consumption observed during the flight appeared to point to a fuel leak, leading to an emergency landing in Dublin. The “minor” leak that was discovered in the left engine was repaired.

Maintenance saves the day, again…
A small Cirrus SR22 plane made an emergency landing in a field near Jerusalem and Hunter Creek roads in Davidson County, North Carolina, at around 6:25 a.m. on October 22.
The plane was on its way from Monroe to Greensboro when it started facing engine problems near High Rock Lake. According to the troopers, the pilot had to deploy a parachute for landing in emergency after the plane’s motor shut down at a height of 3,000 feet.
The parachute brought the aircraft down safely in a field. The authorities confirmed that the pilot remained uninjured.
The FAA is investigating.
An Air Canada flight made an emergency landing at Spokane International Airport, Washington, on April 30th.
The plane heading from Seattle, Washington, to Toronto, Canada, was diverted after the crew noticed a potential mechanical problem.
The plane landed safely. No Injuries were reported.
Royal flight RL-8772 made an emergency landing in Delhi, India, on April 7th.
The Boeing 767-300 plane heading from Phu Quoc, Vietnam, to Yekaterinburg, Russia, was diverted after the crew noticed an engine failure.
The plane landed uneventfully. All three hundred and forty-five people aboard remained safe.
A SkyWest flight, operating as a United Express, had to make an emergency landing at DuPage County Airport, Illinois, on October 20.
Flight 5290, carrying 44 passengers and 3 crew members, was heading from Asheville, North Carolina to Chicago O’Hare International Airport, when the crew reported problems in maintaining the altitude and taking right turns.
The Canadair regional jet CRJ-200 aircraft was then diverted to DuPage where it made a safe emergency landing. SkyWest spokesperson Marissa Snow said, “The flight landed safely and customers were transported to O’Hare.”
The incident remains under investigation by the FAA.
Arkia Israel Airlines flight IZ-803 had to make an emergency landing at Ben Gurion Airport, Israel, on April 26.
The Embraer ERJ-195 jet was heading from Sde Dov Airport in Tel Aviv, to Eilat when the pilot reported a bird strike and sought permission for an emergency landing.
The plane landed safely around 10 minutes after it took off.
Everyone aboard remained unhurt.
Airlinair flight, on behalf of Hop! A5-4073 made a safe emergency landing at Lyon–Saint-Exupéry Airport, France, on July 29th.
The Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A en-route from Pau, France, was mid-air when its windshield cracked.
The plane with 62 people aboard landed safely.
No injuries were reported.
