What: Cimber Air Aerospatiale ATR-72-500 en route from Copenhagen to Aalborg
Where: Kastrup Airport, Copenhagen
When: May 18th 2010
Who: 63 passengers and 4 crew
Why: After takeoff, the plane lost a nose wheel when a wheel fell off after an axle broke. The plane returned to land at Kastrup. The landing was safe, and the passengers were rebooked on a subsequent flight.
American Airlines flight AA-5377 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Syracuse, New York, on September 11th.
The plane heading from Hartford, Connecticut, to Chicago, Illinois, was diverted due to an engine issue.
The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

What: American Airlines Boeing 767-300 en route from Madrid to Miami,FL
Where: en route
When: Mar 7 2010
Why: While en route, the flight developed problems with the right engine. They returned to Madrid where they made a safe landing. Repairs were made, and passengers boarded, and made the flight to Miami, albeit late.

What: AM Transporte Aereo Militar Xian MA-60 en route from La Paz to Rurrenabaque
Where: Rurrenabaque Bolivia
When: Mar 18th 2011
Who: 33 aboard
Why: On landing at Rurrenabaque the landing gear failed to deploy. The flight performed a belly landing with no injuries reported. Minor damage on the plane. The gear problem may have been due to a hydraulic leak but the circumstances are under investigation.

Who: 178 passengers and 11 crew members
Why: Pilots said there was smoke in the cockpit and that one of the plane’s two engines failed. They landed safely at Bangor International Airport, Maine.

What: Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-300 en route from Fort Lauderdale,FL to Chicago
Where: Tampa International Airport
When: Mar 30th 2010
Who: 136 passengers
Why: After takeoff, the landing gear remained stuck in the down position. After circling the airport for half an hour, the flight landed safely at the Tampa airport, with emergency vehicles on standby.
