Air Transat flight TS-703 made an emergency landing in Toronto, Canada, on January 31st.
The plane was flying from Roatan, Honduras, when the crew reported a pressurization problem.
The crew initiated an emergency descent and subsequently landed safely. All one hundred and sixty-one passengers and six crew members remained safe.
Air Canada flight AC-835 made an emergency landing in Geneva, Switzerland, on February 10th.
The Airbus A330-300 plane took off for Montreal, Canada, but had to turn back after black smoke was seen coming out of the left engine.
The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained safe.

Why: While en route, the plane developed engine trouble. The crew had to shut down an engine, and divert to Istanbul. The flight made a safe landing.
No indication is made of passenger accommodations or if another plane was flown in.
IndiGo Airlines flight 6E-716 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, in Hyderabad, India, on October 6th.
The plane heading from Kolkata, West Bengal, to Bengaluru, Karnataka, was diverted after a passenger started experiencing chest pain and breathlessness.
The plane landed uneventfully. The patient was rushed to hospital.
Delta Airlines flight DL-947 made a safe emergency landing at Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport, Minnesota, on December 6.
The Airbus A320-200, flying from Tampa, Florida, was about to land when the crew had to shut its engine down.

China Eastern Airlines flight MU-771 made an emergency landing in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on July 22nd.
The plane was flying from Shanghai Pudong International Airport, China, when the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.
The plane safely landed in Amsterdam. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Safair flight FA-244 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Cape Town International Airport, Cape Town, South Africa, on November 14.
The Boeing 737-400, heading to George, South Africa, to Johannesburg, had to divert due to an issue with its flaps.
The plane landed safely.
No injuries were reported.
