United Airlines flight UA-3692 had to return and make an emergency landing in Sarasota, Florida, on December 2nd.
The plane took off for Newark, New Jersey, but had to turn back due to a bird strike.
The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
A small plane veered off the runway and crashed at the Greene County – Lewis A. Jackson Regional Airport in Ohio, shortly after 6 p.m. on October 19.
The incident happened when the pilot of the 1976 Cessna 172 Skyhawk aircraft was performing touch-and-go during a training exercise.
The plane belongs to MacAir Aviation. Company’s spokesperson Ross McNutt said, “He [pilot] for some reason veered off of the runway and caught a light (wind) and caught a hill with the prop(eller), which spun the aircraft.”
He also confirmed that the pilot escaped with only minor bumps at chin and neck.
The FAA is investigating.

Air Nelson flight NZ-8807 had to return for an emergency landing in Tauranga, New Zealand, on April 1st.
The plane took off for Christchurch, New Zealand, but had to return shortly afterwards after one of the pilots fell ill.
The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.
United Airlines flight UA-144 returned and made an emergency landing at Honolulu International Airport, Hawaii, on October 17.
The Boeing 767-400, heading towards Washington Dulles International Airport, Virginia, had to return due to mechanical malfunction.
The plane with 299 people aboard landed safely.
No injuries were reported.
Pegasus Airlines flight PC-824 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Ankara, Turkey, on July 18th.
The Airbus A320-200N plane, bound for Bahrain, took off from Istanbul, Turkey, but burst a tire during departure.
The crew subsequently diverted to Ankara where the plane landed safely.
Everyone aboard remained unharmed.
Air Canada flight AC-868 made an emergency landing at Shannon Airport, Ireland, on December 24th.
The plane flying from Toronto, Canada, to London, United Kingdom, was diverted after a 10-year-old girl had a cardiac arrest midair.
The plane landed safely. The child was immediately taken to University Hospital Limerick where she was later pronounced dead.
