Air New Zealand flight NZ-8262 made an emergency landing in Tauranga, New Zealand, on November 22nd.
The plane was flying from Wellington, New Zealand, when the crew needed to shut down one of the engines due to indication of a possible propeller issue.
The plane continued for a safe landing. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Saudi Arabian Airlines flight SV-753 made an emergency landing at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, India, on October 13th.
The plane took off for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but had to return shortly afterwards due to technical issues.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Southwest Airlines Flight WN-2869 had to return and make an emergency landing at Denver International Airport in Denver, Colorado, at 5:58 p.m. on July 5.
The Boeing 737-800, en-route to Los Angeles International Airport, had to return due a “performance issue with one of the tires”. It is believed that one of the aircraft’s tires blew during take off.
The plane made a rough landing at the airport, however, all 183 people aboard remained safe.
The passengers were later transported in a replacement plane
United Airlines flight UA-164 had to return for an emergency landing in Tampa, Florida, on March 8th.
The Boeing 737-900 plane took off for Houston, Texas, but had to return shortly afterwards due to a bird strike.
The plane landed safely. There were 133 people aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

What: Virgin Atlantic Airbus A340-300 en route from Boston,MA to London Heathrow
Where: Atlantic
When: Nov 13th
Why: While en route, the flight lost the left engine. The crew diverted to JFK and landed 2.5 hours after declaring emergency.
An American Eagle flight returned and made an emergency landing at Sioux Falls Regional Airport, South Dakota, on November 15.
The plane took off for Chicago but had to return immediately afterwards after the pilot reported an engine problem.
The plane landed uneventfully. All 50 passengers remained safe.
The FAA is investigating.
Air Canada flight 549 made an emergency landing in Toronto, Canada, on January 29.
The plane, en-route from Newark, New Jersey, to Vancouver, Canada, was diverted after it lost cabin pressure due to a fault in an air conditioning unit.
The Airbus A319 plane landed safely. All 107 passengers aboard remained unhurt.
