    Cessna Crashes in Callas France

    What: small tourist Cessna en route from Cannes-Mandelieu Airport
    Where: Callas — north east of Draguignan near the Riviera
    When: SUNDAY 23 AUGUST 2009 10:00 am (0800 GMT)
    Who: Five passengers killed: the pilot, a friend of the pilot and a lady and two children
    Why: The plane crashed in a wooded park near residences and burst into flames. Residents who witnessed the crash heard nothing as the plane seemed to be gliding, then there was a lound explosion as the plane hit the ground and burst into flame. The accident was close enough to the neighborhood that neighbors turned their garden hoses on the flames, but no one survived the crash.

    Small Plane Crashed Near Enumclaw Airport, WA; 3 Injured

    A small Cessna plane crashed near Enumclaw Airport in King County, Washington, on July 27th.

    Authorities said the plane went down off 244th Avenue SE, Enumclaw.

    Three people were injured in the incident; two of them were flown to Harborview Medical Center, Seattle, in critical condition.

    Small Plane Carrying Two Crashes in Nova Scotia

    A small plane crashed in a wooded area in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, Canada, on August 16th.

    The single-engine plane was carrying two people when it crashed into trees.

    Both occupants were able to walk after the crash.

    The cause of crash is being investigated.

    Mexico Cessna Sport Fishing Hop has at least four fatalities

    On July 10, a Cessna 206 en route from Tamaulipas to Veracruz with seven aboard crashed in eastern Mexico has killed four people and injured two. The fall of the plane did not affect the residents of the town. No cause has been reported for the plane failure.

    The pilot reported engine failure at 22:18 to Veracruz ATC around the time the plane disappeared from radar..

    The wreckage is being recovered at Rancho Coralillos in the town of Alto Lucero. The remains of four people were found aboard the plane. (Number varies.) Two injured have been named as Sergio Rage Marrón and Jorge Arturo Velázquez Amorringa.

    The number of fatalities has been raised to five. The bodies inside the plane were burned, and difficult to identify.

    The injured were taken to a private hospital in Veracruz.

    The passengers had been going to a sport fishing competition.

    The Secretary of Civil Protection and the Municipal Civil Protection and a navy Mi17 helicopter responded to the scene.

    What: INCAIR Cessna T210J en route from alvador de Jujuy to Tucuman
    Where: Rosario, Argentina
    When: May 17, 2004
    Who: pilot and 3 passengers
    Why: On May 17, 2004, a Cessna T210J single-engine, Argentine # LV-JPB from Salvador de Jujuy to Tucuman was destroyed under impact with terrain following a loss of control near Rosario de la Frontera, Province of Salta, Argentina. The pilot and 3 passengers were fatally injured. The airplane, serial number T210-0453, was owned/operated by INCAIR S.R.L., of Tocuman, Argentina. Dark night visual meteorological conditions prevailed.?An instrument flight rules flight plan was filed. The pilot lost control while in cruise at 16,000 feet. The 1969-model airplane was not equipped with supplemental oxygen.

    Single-Engine Plane Crashed in NY, Pilot Injured

    A single-engine plane crashed near Buffalo, during takeoff from Royalton Airport in Gasport, New York, at about 11:30 a.m. on July 5.

    The 79-year-old pilot who was the only person aboard suffered facial injuries and was airlifted to the hospital. His name has not yet been released.

    The plane crashed to the right of the runway in a heavily wooded area. The emergency responders faced difficulty in saving the life of the pilot due to the woods. They had to create a path of approximately 200 yards by using a backhoe to carry the stretcher to the pilot.
