    Small Plane Crashes in Klamath County, OR; Two Killed

    A small plane crashed in Klamath County, Oregon, on October 1st.

    The plane, carrying two people, was heading from Klamath Falls to Medford, Oregon, when it went down in a remote, forested area.

    Both occupants of the plane were killed in the crash. The deceased were identified as Chantal Canopii, 60, and her husband Juan Canopii, 54.

    2 Injured After Small Plane Crashed in Olympic National Park, WA

    A small plane crashed in Olympic National Park, Washington, on April 2nd.

    The Cirrus SR22 plane was carrying 2 people when it went down near Brinnon.

    Both occupants of the plane were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center, Seattle.

    The FAA and the NTSB will investigate.

    US Airways Punched in the Nose Bird Strike

    What: US Airways Boeing 757-200 en route from Philadelphia,PA to Orlando,FL
    Where: Orlando
    When: May 11th 2012
    Why: The flight was en route when there was a bird strike impacting the nose. The bird made a “significant” dent in the plane. ATC says “Looks like you guys got punched in the nose, US Air”

    United Airlines Plane Returns to Newark Liberty International Airport

    United airlinesUnited Airlines flight 922 had to return and make an emergency landing at Newark Liberty International Airport, New Jersey, on January 14.

    The flight departed for London Heathrow Airport at around 10 a.m. but had to turn back shortly afterwards after the crew reported smoke in the cabin.

    The Boeing 767-300 landed back uneventfully. All 84 passengers and 13 crew members remained unharmed.

    Airline spokesperson Rahsaan Johnson said, ‘We cancelled the flight so our maintenance team could service the aircraft, and we provided customers alternate flights to their destinations.’

    Allegiant Air Plane Continues for Safe Landing in Nevada

    AllegiantAllegiant Air flight 501 continued for a safe landing at McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 30.

    The aircraft, en-route from Indianapolis to Las Vegas was reported to have an issue with the right hand engine. The crew shut off the engine and continued for a safe landing.

    The plane landed successfully.

    All 206 passengers and 6 crew members onboard remained unharmed.

    Single Engine Plane Crashes Near Montrose

    Reservoir

    Five people are feared dead after a single engine plane crashed in Ridgeway Reservoir Colorado.

    The incident happened in the south of Montrose at 1:50 pm on March 22, 2014. The plane was on its way to Montrose regional airport from Oklahoma. Investigators believe that none of the five passengers survived, although no victims have been found yet.

    Rescue and search efforts are still in progress, whereas a team of divers is recovering the parts of plane from water. NTSB and FAA will be investigating the incident.
