Air Astana Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Frankfurt
Air Astana flight KC-921 made an emergency landing in Frankfurt, Germany, on February 23rd.
The Boeing 757-200 plane flying from Astana, Kazakhstan, was descending toward Frankfurt when the crew declared an emergency due to a hydraulic failure.
The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

TAP Portugal Airlines flight TP-282 made an emergency landing in Maputo, Mozambique, on June 23rd.
The Airbus A340-300 plane took off for Lisbon, Portugal, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines due to a technical fault.
The plane landed safely. There were 200 people aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

The Schweizer 269C is a light four year old plane used for civilian training.
The helicopter was damaged during the emergency landing, rolling over on its side on the rooftop of Maitri Apartments in the Byapanahalli area in North East Bangalore and leaking some of the 20 litres of fuel it carried. The rotors were blown off on impact with the parapet. Retired Air Commodore Roj Assey and trainee Digvijay Singh survived the emergency landing uninjured.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation is investigating.
