    Thai Airways Plane Rejects Takeoff From Melbourne

    Thai Airways flight TG-462 had to reject takeoff from Melbourne, Australia, on October 28th.

    The Airbus A350-900 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Bangkok, Thailand, when the crew noticed a problem and rejected takeoff.

    Delta Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at JFK Airport

    Delta Airlines flight DL-1894 made an emergency landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, on January 21st.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane heading from LaGuardia Airport, New York, to Boston, Massachusetts, was diverted due to a flaps problem.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    JetBlue Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Charleston

    jetBlueJetBlue flight B6-1131 had to return and make an emergency landing in Charleston, South Carolina, on July 18th.

    The plane took off for Fort Lauderdale, Florida, but had to return shortly afterwards after an odor and light haze was noticed in the cabin.

    The plane landed safely. No injuries were reported.

    Sky-Diving Plane Makes Emergency Landing on New Jersey Highway

    cessnaskylanet182tA sky-diving plane had to make an emergency landing at route 72 in Stafford Township, New Jersey, on the morning of July 12.

    The single-engine plane had to be landed in emergency after it apparently lost engine power. The plane was carrying 5 people, including 3 students and an instructor from the Skydive East Coast sky-diving school, at the time.

    The plane landed uneventfully. Authorities said the instructor received a minor cut on his arm while everyone else remained unhurt.

    The FAA is investigating.

    What: PIA Pakistan International Airlines Airbus A310-300 en route from Lahore Pakistan to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

    Who: 176 passengers
    Why: While en route, Pakistan International Airlines received an email there was a bomb aboard the flight.

    The plane landed safely in Kuala Lumpur. No bomb was found.

    What: PIA Pakistan International Airlines Boeing 777-300 en route from Lahore (Pakistan) to Manchester,EN
    Where: Istanbul
    When: Sep 7th 2011
    Who: 378 passengers
    Why: While over the black sea, the airline received an email claiming bombs were planed on the flight. The pilots diverted to Istanbul, where the flight was inspected and no bomb was found.

    After immediate evacuation, both planes underwent thorough examination.

    Boston Turbulence Leads to Rocky Trip, Terrified passengers

    What: JetBlue Airbus 319 en route from San Juan, Puerto Rico to Boston

    Who: 130 passengers and five crew members

    What: Lufthansa Flight 429, which was traveling from North Carolina to Munich, Germany
    Where: Boston Logan International Airport
    Who: 245 passengers and 18 crew

    The Jetblue flight, which arrived early, was en route when it encountered turbulence severe enough to injure 9 aboard with an assortment of neck and back injuries.

    The Lufthansa flight had to land at Logan due to a turbulence encounter that injured 11 passengers on that flight.

    The turbulence was severe enough that many aboard bumped their heads on the ceiling of the plane. Several people were treated for injuries but no one was hospitalized.

    Passengers aboard both flights describe the trip as terrifying. They were certain they were going to crash.
