A small Rockwell Commander plane had to make an emergency landing in a field in Penn Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania,
on the afternoon of August 1st.
The two seater plane on a “sightseeing adventure” from Reading, Pennsylvania, had to be landed in emergency due to engine trouble.
The plane was destroyed. The 55 year-old woman and 47 year-old man aboard remained safe.
The FAA is investigating the incident.
LATAM Brasil flight LA-3466 had to return and make an emergency landing at Sao Paulo International Airport, Brazil, on February 17th.
The Airbus A321-200 plane took off for Porto Alegre, Brazil, but had to turn back due to an engine issue.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
A six-seater Cessna Centurion plane made an emergency landing near Eagle County Regional Airport in Gypsum, Colorado, on June 30th.
The plane flying from Montrose, Colorado, was on approach to the Eagle County airport when its engine failed.
The pilot subsequently declared an emergency and landed on McGregor road.
The pilot, who was the only one aboard, remained unharmed.

Why: After taking off from Belfast, the plane developed a technical problem (problems with the landing gear.) Pilots returned to Belfast. They circled for over an hour. While they were in the air, a police helicopter came up and inspected the plane.
The pilots dumped fuel before they made a safe landing.
Passengers interviewed about the event said they were terrified. Flight attendants advised them to brace themselves, take off their shoes and use the emergency exits.
Emergency services were on standby.
Belfast International Airport said that the airline planes to repair the plane and use it this afternoon to fly out passengers at 3:00 pm. The airport spoke highly of the efficiency and emergency management performed by the staff.
On May 1, 2013, at Spirit of St. Louis Airport, a single engine Cessna Centurion made a belly landing.
The pilot landed, and suffered a landing gear emergency. Though the landing gear collapsed, the pilot made a belly landing on the runway without any destructive acrobatics.
The FAA is investigating.

-Cessna towing banner flipped over off Louisiana runway, one minor injury
A singe engine plane had to make an emergency landing at New Century Airport, Johnson County, Kansas, on the night of October 30.
According to Johnson County spokesperson Jody Hanson, the pilot of Piper PA-32 aircraft decided to make an emergency landing after a bird hit the aircraft’s windshield near Olathe.
The plane landed safely and the pilot did not need medical treatment.
