    Small Plane Crash Lands in California

    A small plane had to make a crash landing at Mineta San Jose International Airport, San Jose, Santa Clara County, California, on March 24.

    The Plaggio P180 was seen circling over San Jose and Willow Glen, and it was reported that there was a mechanical issue, due to which the crew opted for a crash landing.

    The plane landed uneventfully.

    It turned out that there was a problem with the rear landing gear.

    All people aboard remained unharmed.

    Plane Crash in South Sudan Leaves 19 Dead

    A passenger plane crashed into a lake in South Sudan, on September 9th.

    The incident happened when the plane flying from Juba was attempting to land in Yirol.

    Nineteen people were killed in the crash. Four others suffered serious injuries and were shifted to a hospital.

    Helicopter Crashed in South Korea, 5 Killed, 1 Injured

    Helicopter crashA South Korean firefighting chopper crashed in the downtown area of Gwangju, about 330 km south of Seoul, at about 10: 50 a.m. on July 17.

    All five people aboard the helicopter, including two pilots, one engineer and two rescue workers were killed while one female student, who was waiting at a bus stop near the site of crash, sustained minor injuries. She was taken to a close-by hospital for treatment.

    The helicopter belonged to the fire headquarters in the east Gangwon Province. The accident happened when it was coming back from a search operation for the missing people of the Sewol ferry which sank off the southwest coast on April 16. Around 300 people, mostly high school students were killed in the disaster while 11 are still missing.

    The helicopter caught fire after falling in the sidewalks of a road. Witnesses said it spinned around at a low altitude as the pilot was apparently looking for a less crowded place.

    The exact cause of the crash is being investigated.

    Hog Hunters Flipped in Chopper Bang-Up


    At 9 a m Jan 26,2013, a Hiller UH-12B helicopter crashed east of the St. Lucie-Okeechobee County line in a swamp between Okeechobee Road and Orange Avenue, west of the Adams Ranch The three men aboard,Pilot William Harward, and passengers Jonathan Strayer, 46, and Massad Ayoob, 64 were hospitalized at Raulerson Memorial Hospital.

    The helicopter had been chartered to “shoot feral hogs from a helicopter with .44 Magnum revolvers” a pastime that has been called pest eradication. A blog has released that the main rotor hit treetops, and the helicopter ended up upside down.

    Cessna on Training Flight Crashes in Alaska

    A Cessna Caravan crashed and burned near Bethel, Alaska with two pilots aboard and no passengers. Derrick Cedars and Greggory McGee were confirmed as pilots. The plane operated by Hageland Aviation flew out of Bethel airport, and crashed at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Troopers aboard a National Guard Blackhawk confirmed the crash with an aerial overview of the large debris field and burning wreckage.

    Tuesday evening, rescuers were aboard a helicopter that flew to Three Step Mountain to the wreckage, perhaps recover the remains. The NTSB is investigating.

    Hageland had five crashes since 2003.

    The Cessna had 2 Pratt & Whitney Canada engines.

    Trainer and trainee crash near Pueblo Memorial Airport

    What: Diamond DA20 two-seat trainer aircraft owned by Doss Aviation
    Where: Near Pueblo Memorial Airport
    When: Noon Monday Sept 8 2008
    Who: Instructor/pilot and a trainee
    Why: The plane fell down a ravine and landed upside-down in a dry creek. A wing, the front landing gear and the engine had to be removed in order to extricate the trapped pilot. The trainee got out on his own
