    Ryanair Plane makes Safe Landing in Netherlands

    RyanairRyanair flight FR-3100 made a safe emergency landing at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Netherlands, on June 10.

    The Boeing 737-800, flying from Dublin, Ireland, was about to land when the crew assumed a problem with its brakes and slowed it down. The airplane became disabled on the taxiway due to a blown tyre.

    The plane landed safely.

    No one was injured.

    What: United Airlines Boeing 737 en route from Tampa to Houston
    Where: Louisiana
    When: April 4, 2012
    Who: 146 passengers and six crew, seven injuries
    Why: From seven to twelve people aboard United Airlines flight were injured when the plane ran into severe turbulence flying over Lake Charles Louisiana and the same cell that caused the tornadoes sweeping through Texas.

    (The number of injured reported varies. Earlier reports indicated seven injuries, three going to the hospital.) Pilots declared emergency in order to have a priority landing in Houston. From three to twelve people were hospitalized on arrival at 8:00 a.m.

    Delta Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Detroit

    250px-Delta_logo.svgDelta Airlines flight DL-745 had to return and make an emergency landing at Detroit Metro Airport, in Detroit, Michigan, on June 9th.

    The Boeing 767-300 plane took off for San Francisco, California, but had to return shortly afterwards due to an issue with one of the redundant power systems.

    The plane landed uneventfully. There were 244 passengers aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

    United Airlines Flight Diverts to Shannon Airport

    United Airlines flight UA-17 made an emergency landing at Shannon Airport, Ireland, on May 23rd.

    The Boeing 767-400 plane heading from Heathrow Airport, England, to Newark, New Jersey, was diverted due to issues with the cabin pressure.

    The plane landed safely. All two hundred and sixteen people aboard remained unharmed.

    Delta Airlines Plane Carrying Oklahoma City Thunder Dented En Route to Chicago

    Delta Airlines flight DL-8935 apparently suffered a bird strike near Chicago Midway International Airport, Chicago, Illinois, on October 28th.

    The Boeing 757-200 plane, performing a charter flight for the Oklahoma City Thunder, was descending toward Chicago when its nose cone sustained a dent.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    The airline suspects the damage was caused by a bird strike.

    Midair Collision in Phoenix Kills 4


    On May 31, 2013, a Transpac Aviation Academy Piper out of Deer Valley airport, and a Westwind School of Aeronautics Cessma were fifteen miles from the Deer Valley Airport when they collided.

    Two people were aboard each flight, and there were no survivors.

    The Cessna caught fire after impact.

    Passengers names have not been released.
