Latin American Wings flight H8-703 made an emergency landing in Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) on August 24th.The Boeing 737-300 plane was accelerating to take off when the one of the tires burst. The pilot continued the take off and returned for landing after burning off fuel.
The plane landed safely. All 156 people aboard remained unharmed.

Southwest Airlines flight Makes Priority Landing at Milwaukee
Southwest Airlines flight 663 on its way from Orlando, Florida, to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, made a priority landing at about 10:18 a.m. on August 17.The pilot declared emergency just before landing at Milwaukee, after the crew reported an electrical smell onboard.
The plane carrying 127 passengers and 5 crew members landed uneventfully and no one was hurt.
The aircraft was taken for examination while an alternate plane was arranged for continuing the next flight to Los Angeles.
